My husband and I spent a much anticipated night away together (we have a 4 year old). Quickenberry lived up to our expectations, from the comfortable hospitality, beautifully presented food (with tastes to die for and perfect quantities too), and the stunning location. I couldn't recommend Quickenberry enough!

Quickenberry was one of our stops on a South Island road trip. Near the end of a lap of the South Island our expectations were high. There was the welcome, the accommodation, the location and the food, but the ambience was permeated with the presence and attention of Christine and Robert, whether chatting around the fire or serving the exceptional...

Had a fantastic time at Quickenberry Guesthouse this weekend. Christine & Robert were friendly, the place was full and the other guests a delight. We all got on so well it was a very enjoyable stay. The pre dinner drink by the fire warmed us all up and the evening meal was just enough to be comfortable. It was fun...

Only stayed the one night at Quickenberry but what a fantastic place. Christine and Robert provided a friendly welcome, warm service and delicious food. The room had a great view over a paddock and Mount Hutt provides a dramatic backdrop. The room was well appointed and large with a comfortable bed and very plush quilt. Very impressed!

Unfortunately we did not know about the dinner possibilities, but we asked Robert in the afternoon and it was not a problem. The location of the lodge is perfect, we...

We wined and dined on New Year's Eve at Quickenberry and the whole experience was just superb to begin a New Year. Christine and Robert were wonderful hosts and welcomed us as friends. The food was "to die for" and just exceptional. The Lodge was so peaceful to stay in and the scenery up that way is amazing. We can...

However, Christine and Robert provided us with many other options to fill the weekend and have great local knowledge. The Lodge is well located for skiing, golf , tennis and hiking or just pure relaxation in front of the fire or...

We travelled through NZ for about 1 month, but Quickenberry Lodge is defenitely top 3 material for overnight stays (and having dinner). Located on the golf court Terrace Downs, it is a beautiful and quiet scenery for this cosy guesthouse. Christine made us feel very welcome and relaxed. And having to repeat what others wrote about Robert's cooking skills, we...
