Super courteous staff.. never had to repeat any request… Nice rooms, big, spacious and clean.. nice little campus- green and peaceful. Activities are worth a try. Dinner buffet was fantastic. Also, the room service was prompt and super. Breakfast spread could be improved with more diversity in the menu.
The location of the hotel is very nice. Though placed 3km from Ramanasram is not inconvenient. The amenities are very good and the pool is also well kept. Mr Rajsekran goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable. I had lots of food restrictions and the restaurant staff Acchu, Ansar, Asarudeen, Vigneshkumar, Muthuraji took good care of that along with Head Chef Raja G. Have visited here before, visited again and will definitely come back.
As I entered the premises I was immediately transported into another world. The earthiness of the place was very desirable for a loner like me, the gardens were well kept and staff very friendly, the food amazing. The room was very clean and was situated in a place that gave the right amount of privacy where you can just blend into the surroundings if need be. There was a huge place for meditation which I wasn't able to use due to lack of time. I love the tradition of placing a garland around the guest necks on checking it....it made me feel welcome and special.
I booked 2 rooms for a trip in September 2022 and today I received a notification from the travel site (Agoda) that the hotel said they could not honor the booking due to a mistake in the rates. Mind you I was not paying some dirt cheap price. Now I am left with no room and my family had planned this trip for some time to visit the Ashram. This is terrible customer experience from Sparsa. Agoda is also not willing to help me. Why should I suffer for a data entry mistake made by some Sparsa employee? So please be careful when you book this hotel.
We had a plan of visiting the temple to have dharshan of arunachaleshwar. But huge crowd as there were 3 continuous holidays. We were standing in a serpentine queue with long tail and some unknown friend helped me and wife woth leg pain we were able to have dharshan through another line. Then we visited the unnamulaoyar sannidhi. There outside navgraha sannidhi. We bought lamps and lit it with our prayers. This Shiva is known for Fire 🔥. He burns every paaps such as poorva jenma phaap, ancesstor phaap, Naga dosh, neer dosh etc., After that we had decided to go for girivalam. We planned to start by midnight 2 AM My wife walked for 5 km with me Later I continued to walk. Totally 14 km. I walked slowly chanting mantra and seeing the hill which was to my right. On the way nine special ling such as Indra lingam, soorya lingam, nirudhi lingam, vaayu lingh, kubera lingam, and many samadhi of saints. I completed the girivalam around 7 am at Rajagopuram which is the east entrance of main temple…
The resort was great and rooms well furnished and neat and also well laid out The individual cottages like setting was very neatly done and sufficient parking and good service .The only issue I had was that the resort was not easy to contact by phone as they don’t pick up the phone and that is quite irritating Otherwise all was great.Food can be improved a bit
The first and foremost, you notice, when you enter the hotel is that of the cool ambience. The laid back and earthy nature of the hotel is quite interesting. The staff is just ok. The bed linen and room are quite neat and crisp. My only grouse is that of the cuisine. Needs tremendous improvement. Every dish we ordered were just ok and nothing to write back. Also, the buffet breakfast timings need change. It ends by 10am which is quite bad. For the resort feel of the hotel, this timing needs to be extended to 11am. Also, even for the tourists who come to have Arunachala Temple darshan, it is difficult to complete the darshan and come back to have breakfast within 10am slot. Everything else is quite normal and fine.
It was a family trip and went great with kids. Peaceful environment with utmost health safety measures. Food served in the restaurant was also amazing. Short trip stays over there is perfect and they have everything to take care of.. Must go for all!
Everything from the welcome to the exit was incredibly nice. The staff were very accommodating and had good knowledge about the things to do in Thiruvanamallai. The restaurant served good vegetarian food and although the waiters were initially slow, for other meals they were quick and responsive.
U will be welcomed with a tender coconut drink and a rudraksh mala by the front office. The ambience will give a feel like ur inside a garden. The resort maintenance is exceptionally good, specially the swimming pool. During our 3 days stay at TVM, we explored most of them all top rated restaura/cafe at tiruvannmalai but we felt the in-house restaura at sparsa was the best and value for money. Food quantity/quality is too good, home-style and it will be lite to tummy. you wont feel heavy even after having a full course buffet lunch. They have 'Tea Kadai' which is nothing but Tea shop like the local style, where tea/coffee/milk will be disturbed for all the in-mates. Other complementary services - Pottery shop, Flower shop, Mehendhi desk. If you want to have a break from the hustle/bustle city routine, go to spara. we wont be regretted. If you have time & energy, try for 2 hours trek to the nearby 'Skandha Ashram'…
