Recently booked an Arunachala-View room for my friend at Ashreya . Got a follow up call from the hotel regarding the stay . The representatives from Ashreya Suites were kind and informative, they even remembered me from my stay there about 2 years ago. It came as no surprise when my friend told me his stay there was great. A must stay spot if you intend to visit Tiruvannamazhai.
Around 2kms away from the centre. Was a very quiet and peaceful place in Tiruvannamalai. Food was good. If you want to stay away from the traffic and enjoy a peaceful trip, this hotel is definitely the one for you
Couple of observations and some honest comments to help the management/owners. GOOD - Nice food and hospitality, Genuine staff who have passion to grow but lacks direction, serene location, good looking lobby and garden, Security for family, roughly 3 kms to city centre, reasonably spaced rooms and good ventilation BAD - Worst road to reach the hotel, not enough parking space and was asked to park in main road, room cleaning and supply of toiletries and daily towels is not checked, calm room request not fulfilled instead got opposite on ground floor, Chase customers to make payment without even checkin to room, Lizards in lobby, Frog babies in toilets, maintenance is poor, bare minimum beds to relax, room rent is too high for amenities.
I stayed here for one night but hope it never happened. I have never ever in India had such a bad experience. After coming to India 8 times and staying here for a total of 2 years I am a very experienced traveller. I had booked the room on the phone the day before and explained that I would be arriving early morning at 5 am with a bus from Bangalore. Same day at 4 pm the manager comes and tells me to leave the hotel!! I was chocked. He was both aggressive and unfriendly. This happened without any notice. Unfortunately then I had already paid for my stay - 1 night 2700 rupees!! It is also incredibly expensive for India!! With 2700 rupees you expect a minimum of kindness and courtesy - here I was treated with the opposite!! When I explained I had paid to stay for the night, there was still no excuse from the manager. He was just very aggressive and unfriendly. Very very unpleasant!! The whole day the staff was asking for money - and you have to pash in cash only! Usually in India you pay at check out. Here they chase you from the time you check in!! They are only interested in making money! No interest in giving the guest a good service. This is so horrible - since Tiruvannamalai is a sacred place with lots of spirituality. On the morning I left - I asked for a small tea - and they even charged me 20 rupees for it! I wish no one will book this hotel!! They are just moneyminded people. No heart.…
Hotel and hospitality was good. 1. Food was not up to the mark and it was too costly to have a meal here 2. Food being served hot and fresh however the taste was not good and portion served was less if I have to say 3. Rooms are far from the town which was too less chances of getting a hire 4. There were some issues with the television. It was sorted after 5. Well knowledgeable team handling the suites who gave a perfect idea how and when to have a darshan as well Giri Pradaksina (Giri valam it is called locally) Coming to the food and hot beverages : 2/5 Home and hospitality : 4.5/5 Worth to stay : 3/5 (Cost of the hotel) Knowledge about the place : 5/5 Overall : 3.5/5
We stayed at Ashreya Suites in late August 2019. The rooms we were allotted were spacious and clean. The food at the restaurant was good and the staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel is located very close to Bangalore-Pondicherry highway; Ramana Maharishi ashram and the temple are easily reachable. Better upkeep of bed linen would make this a better place. Overall, it was a good experience.
Great Hospitality, homely food and clean room. Quite and residential surroundings was very impressive. Gentle and obliging staff adds on to the homely experience. The hotel is tucked away from the Hussle and bussle of the town which is a fantastic thing!
It was wonderful experience stay here. Its quite and calm place to stay. Nearby to Annamalaiyar temple where situated at Girivala road. Good customer Care and rooms are good. Nice stay. Thank you for good service. 10q
A short rickshaw ride from Ramanashram. Friendly and helpful staff. Food: limited choice but tasty. Countryfied environment.manager promised garden would be accessible to guests in the foreseeable future, which would indefinitely be a plus. very spacious rooms, good fans and air conditioning, nice bathroom.
I had stayed in the property on 15th june with a group of 60 members. The rooms and the linen was really excellent. Everyone of us liked the property. Special thanks to Mr. Bhoominathan the General Manager and Mr. Munian for his courteousness. I strongly recommend Ashreya Suites. Thank you
