Location: Close to the temple. Good Complimentary breakfast: Better avoid and get something outside Restaurant food in lunch (Veg): Average to Poor Price: Expensive and not worth Facilities: Average Hospitality: Room boys helped in carrying the luggage. Someone (male) offered coffee during breakfast hours. Other than that we didn't feel anything good. Disturbing Factors : Check-in hours are noon. We reached at 4 pm and the room was not ready. We booked 2 rooms to use two washrooms but they asked us to use the same one and promised to keep it ready when we return. But luckily they made it ready before we left The same complaint was made by some other guests who also said their bedsheets were muddy and not clean One more family complaint that the restrooms were not fit to use. People who return from Girivalam or the temple will be tired and they need a calm place to rest but the staff was always arguing in loud voices in the corridor all the time. Even internal discussions or complaints sounded like fights and made the environment noisy Most disturbing Someone booked the room with breakfast. It was not internally communicated to the staff over there. He was waiting with his kid in the pantry for breakfast. Instead of offering him, she was continuously on call and arguing with someone to validate the payment. This can be discussed and confirmed separately during billing instead of making him wait in front of everyone. …
Worst in everything. Asking money for everything we ask.. even Chennai residency are better than this. Don't be cunning . Ppls won't come here if you are behaving this way. They money we are paying here is not even worth. I'm working on Judicial ,it won't take few min to take action.Just mentoring you ,Money we are paying is not worth of it .
We booked 4 bedded room and there were options available like two double beds or four single beds etc. Room is neat and clean. All the accessories are working fine. Restaurant serves both non-veg and veg but they have separate kitchen and masters. Card accepted in hotel but not in restaurant or for room service. That's the only disappointment. Otherwise we are having a good time.
Hotel is in prime location... near temple ...but score average only. Cleanliness need to be improved ...! Break fast is good but served only 8.00am... if serve bit early will be good for early check out guests...!
As usual, after having scanned through the tripadvisor, I decided to stay in this hotel for its great location, that is in the heart of the city, very close to the temple with a walking distance, with a covered car parking in the basement, about 12 cars can be parked here, (as I went by my car, this time, covering a distance of 194 Kms from chennai). In addition this hotel has a nice Ayurvedic massage centre with very moderate rates( which was useful for our 14 kms of Girivalam, that is walking around the hill. This restaurant in this hotel is having both vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes which are very good. There is also an AC section in the restaurant. As always I do, I took the permission to take the photograph of the kitchen which is very neatly maintained. The hotel is on the main toad, close to temple and other shopping centres and restaurants nearby. There is an Auto( three wheeler) stand, just outside the Hotel. The suit where I stayed was very comfortable with independent AC and clean spacious bath room with bath tub. My friend's family stayed in a four bed room which was also very nice( I have attached the photos of both the rooms) There is also a very spacious Air-conditioned bar adjacent to the restaurant. The room service from the restaurant and by the staff was excellent. It was very convenient as the restaurant starts functioning from 5-30 A.M. I will again stay in the same Hotel, during my next visit.…
This hotel is on a busy road with noisy traffic. We stayed here for a night on the way back from Pondicherry to Bangalore. The hotel is walkable distance from the famous Arunachala temple. Parking in the basement was full and we had to park our car outside in a cramped space. We were in a triple AC room facing the road. The room looked a bit run down, the bed sheets were clean, curtains were new, bathroom was clean. The TV had only Tamil channels. A major problem is that there is no switch for AC. No way to adjust the temperature. The AC is turned on always. To turn it off you have to call the reception ! Cold AC with a thin blanket coupled with honking from vehicles on the road guaranteed a bad night's sleep. Another unpleasant experience was that the complimentary breakfast got over sooner than they told us. 2 items out of 4 were over half hour before closing time. The available items - Dosa and pongal - were tasty however.…
The photos available in internet are not actually resembling the original state of the rooms. they are neither attractive nor good. Foul smell comes from this congested small sized rooms in very small overall area of lodge. No space to even walk freely. The rooms with poor ventilation smells like as tough someone has puked. Lot of rules laid by management. Please never ever book this online, Visit and they book if you feel what I say is wrong. It puts a hole in your pocket by charging heavily to a 3 Star hotel range. But it is not even worth a devastanam lodge. It has simply some curtains between Toilet and beds. This is the only attraction in that room. That curtains may be of Rs 200 to 500. For that are you going to pay heave charge. But I really do not know who gives good rating.…
Walk in check in when i reach thiruvannamalai on the 4th sept. The counter staff named Jeeva was good and explained the timing of girivalam and help me changed currency in hotel itself and pass me personally to the room. Room was nice and have a hot water shower. Near to temple and other shops. Even though they seal netting on the window still can view annamalai from room. Highly recommended. Will stay again soon.
Booking was made over phone and the check in process was very smooth. We had booked a double bedroom a/c which has all the basic facilities. A good double cot, a/c working properly, tv with satellite channels. The location is near to temple (5 minutes walk). The bed spread was also near. Provided with towels and toiletry kit. However, the room was very small for the money they collect. The A/c remote was not working hence we had either use it or switch off it. The temperature could not be controlled. For the first time in my life, I came across a limited buffet complimentary breakfast. I have never imagined that there would be buffet like this. Number of food items are also very limited, only 3 or 4. Bread was very old and stale. Coffee was served in the smallest plastic cup available in the market. There is a restaurant in the hotel premises. But it is multi cuisine, veg, non-veg, sea food all available. Rates are also comparatively high. Overall a budget hotel with decent accommodation.…
I travelled to thiruvanamalai in the week of May for darshan. I stayed in this hotel for a day. Near to Temple. Walkable to Temple. Parking space is available. You can park your car without any hassle. Food is good. They given complimentary Break fast which is good and tastier. Room is good. AC are working. Front desk is good. I will recommend for families who is looking for budget and decent hotel.
