I am a yearly visitor to Thiruvannamalai and its the first time to book this hotel. This one ranks as the worst possible ever hotel. Nothing is good about this place. 1. Rooms reek of sewage smell 2. Apathetic attitude of the staff ( I could locate only the front desk manager and a room boy ). They care a damn for your needs 3. Lousiest restaurant. Calling room service is a joke. Nobody lifts the call. And if you down to order tea , it takes 1 hour to get your tea 4. The stingy manager says "he is out of stock on Water bottles" which are supposed to given one per day 5. Trash left all over the corridors
New property Very neat and clean All amenities were provided Nice and tasty food Car parking available Linens were neat and clean Staff are cooperative Very near to temple, walkable distance Safety for family visitors
Stayed a night in Sree Shai with family & friends while on our pilgrimage to Thriruvannamalai. It's a decent accommodation in its class. Rooms are are provided with amenities adequate for a short comfortable stay. Rooms are very small and good enough for a solo traveller or a couple. Not much space for moving around. We opted for an extra bed (triple occupancy) while booking not knowing rooms so less in space. Realized it's a bad decision. Hotel staff are very responsive. Hotel parking is limited and can accommodate two cars only in its portco. Hotel is centrally located in a low traffic congestion area. Close to railway station and temple is about about a kilometre. Restaurant is good. Tried south Indian dishes that are really delicious. Room sevice is very poor. Better opt go to restaurant rather opting room service.…
Very comfortable rooms with basic amenities. Small room which can fit a couple. Nice restaurant serving delicious South Indian food. Maintenance needs improvement. Bucket was very unclean & water flow from shower was also not good. Good for couples for short stay.
Right next to the railway station. About 10 mins by auto from the temple. Place looks fresh. People are friendly. The restaurant attached to the hotel serves good veg food. Nice place to stay at decent price.
I booked suite room which was 4400 rupees which is Not at all worth for the money . No good parking place Food service was very horrible Not at all worth for the cost Bathrooms were the worst, bad smell
I stayed here a few months back in April. While booking online, booked as single person but then we decided to go as family (two adults and two kids). Online tariff through Goibibo itself was a bit high for this hotel(2000/- for a small room). At the reception, seeing two adults and two kids aged 9 and 5, the person at the counter charged extra 1200/-(600 per head) and proudly bragged about not charging for kids 5 and below. I asked him for receipt, he said will send it to the room. I didn't receive any receipt inspite of passing by him many times. I ignored the receipt anyway. Also there was cigarette smell in the room most likely coming from the AC due to someone smoking on the terrace. Restaurant food was good and reasonably priced. We forgot about complimentary breakfast and paid for our breakfast amounting to around 180/- but then realized that it was complimentary. When we mentioned this at the reception, the person was not committed to refunding the amount and said he will talk with the restaurant and let us know. When I insisted for the refund while vacating the room, he gave the refund. If I wouldn't have asked, I wouldn't have received the refund just like not receiving the receipt of the extra 1200/- paid. The hotel itself is not bad but the guy at the reception is a fraud, beware!…
Nice hotel to stay. But small room.have a very good restaurant with tasty food.they will give information regarding temple and all.nice staff.hot water also available. Manageable stay for couple of days.
Booked this hotel online. Check in was smooth. Asked for an extra bed which was provided immediately. Room was compact very clean & tidy. Linen were spotless & clean. Toiletries (basic) were provided. They have a vegetarian restaurant at the ground floor. The food was good. Complimentary breakfast provided was decent. Location of the hotel is excellent , very close to station & bus stand. walk able distance to ARUNACHALESHWAR temple.
Pros : The room was clean, Had a good view of the hill and temple Cons : The worst part is the service of the hotel in the ground floor,Even if one asks for a sambhar (add on to dosa) , one would get it only after 20 min (literally !) and that too after repeated call to the attender. I had my breakfast around 7:15 am, no other guests were around in the hotel and even at that time the service was dead slow...phew ! My day was spoiled because of this early morning episode.
