We were lucky enough to have 2 nights at this beautiful B and B. I'm so glad we chose to stay there. Simon was so welcoming, the location was wonderful and the room was absolutely perfect. As so many people have already mentioned there wasn't anything that Simon hadn't thought of. The room was large and very well appointed, every toiletry you could think of was supplied, and the breakfasts were fantastic. I cannot recommend Hononton Cottage highly enough. If you are planning a trip to Hever Castle or simply wanting a relaxing get away this is the place for you!

Beautiful old building modernized to high standard, surrounded by apple orchards in peaceful setting. Convenient to local restaurants & National Trust properties. Awards gained for breakfast and hospitality are fully justified. Simon always willing to give advice and answer any question.

What an amazing place! My boyfriend and I stayed at Hononton Cottage for one night so we could attend a wedding, our only regret is that we didn't stay longer! The cottage is in the most beautiful location, Simon and Sandy are the most gracious and helpful hosts, so warm and friendly and did everything to make us feel at home. Our room was absolutely gorgeous with views over an apple orchard and the country side beyond. The cottage was beautifully presented and clean and tidy, our room was fantastically presented with all the amenities you would expect from a high end hotel. Breakfast was lovely, all the conserves are made by Simon and were very tasty! We cannot rate this place high enough, we hope to visit again soon! Thank you Simon and Sandy

Two nights here at this beautiful cottage was a wonderful treat. Great hospitality, lovely room with every comfort and amazing views. Excellent local advice and superb breakfasts. Great walking area and full of interesting places to visit. Very quiet location next to apple orchards and on the High Weald Trail. We are already planning our return.

My husband and I stayed 4 nights in this cozy and beautiful Bed and Breakfast. Everything was just perfect. Our room had a fantastic view over an orchard, the bed was nice and the necessities included complementary sherry! The breakfast was absolutely delicious and Simon and Sandy did everything possible to make us to feel welcome. We also got some nice advice from Simon regarding a full day hike on the High Weald Landscape Route and a visit to the world famous garden in Sissinghurst. We will be back!

This place is absolutely marvelous. Everything has been considered: In the room robes, slippers, hair dryer, top notch towels and bed linens, TV, fridge, still & sparkling water, sherry and everything you may have left at home; i.e. a toothbrush and cotton swabs. Plus, it is immaculately clean. The cottage is quiet at the end of a country lane next to an apple orchard, and the surrounding area is both bucolic and historical. Views of the country side are so restful, as is a short walk to the nearby pond. Breakfast is Kentish (robust and super delicious) with a personal touch: preserves made by the hosts with local fruits, and fresh juices including apple from the local orchard. But by far, the best thing about staying here are the hosts, Simon and Sandie. They are so warm,

Hononton cottage should be made available on the NHS. It is so peaceful, beautiful and entirely relaxing that I would like to come here every few weeks to recharge. My friend and I stayed for one night, during our walk from Tunbridge Wells to Rye - it's perfectly positioned for hiking, as the High Weald Landscape Trail runs right past the front door. Both rooms were absolutely beautiful and spotlessly clean, whilst maintaining a quirky, Kentish atmosphere - the beams, the furniture, the views were all lovely, and everything you could possibly want was provided (including fluffy bathrobes, slippers, chocolates and sherry, which sums up my evening there). On arrival, Simon gave us tea and biscuits, and kindly moved the (extremely heavy) outdoor table and chairs into a patch of

We stayed in the Furnace Pond room for 2 nights. When we weren't out sightseeing or eating (Simon had great suggestions for both), we spent our time trying to think of items that were missing from the room, and failed to come up with anything! Forgotten your deoderant, toothbrush, pen, shower hat, soap, robe, flannel, deck of cards, books, hairdryer, sherry?!... It was all there. The house is quaint and quirky which makes it a really interesting place to stay, with gorgeous views of the local orchards and, being at the end of the lane, there's no passing traffic so it's very quiet. Our room also had a view of the beautiful front garden. Breakfast was excellent, particularly the fresh fruit salad (no melon, which meant I could actually eat it), local apple juice and

Hononton Cottage is Paradise on earth to us - we have been coming back every year since our Honeymoon in 2008. This wonderful B&B has it all - it is romantic, charming, peaceful, and Simon and Sandie are the most considerate hosts we have ever met anywhere. They will do their utmost to make your stay a perfect one. Hononton Cottage is run by the highest standards possible; as guests, we are always made to feel very special, the rooms are extremely cosy, comfortable and spotless. Local guides as well as tea and coffee is available in the room, much appreciated by us. The cooked breakfast alone is worth the journey! We gladly drive the 700 miles from Copenhagen, Denmark, for the good nights' sleep, the hospitality, the tranquility, and the breakfast. Of course, we will return to

We stayed for 2 nights this week and were greeted with coffee and biscuits. An old cottage with lots of charm and Simon is an excelent host. The room has everything you want, even some things you might normally take yourself. Breakfast is tasty with a good choice. Lots of nice extra touches. Be careful driving down the lane, if you meet something coming the other way you msy have to back up. We have stayed in lots of b&bs and this is one of the best.
