Location location location. Excellent location to explore the city and attractions. Close to shops, supermarkets and restaurants. This place is tired looking but very clean and quiet. I would stay here if and when I return to Canberra

We, two senior couples, booked at Argyle apartments for our twelve day stay in Canberra. On arrival Vic greeted us (with a smile) and showed us to our accommodation and pointed out where the shops were - just a couple of hundred metres away. The City bus station was an easy 10 minute walk. We soon found the buses were...

So I didn't pay or book this (stayed with my partner on his work trip) but wow, what a shabby place. Plus you need to cart your rubbish out to some far flung garbage room and hand wash all the dishes (dishwasher was so rusty inside I didn't dare try it). Maybe it's really cheap and it was fairly roomy,...

The great thing about the Argyle apartments is the location, and it really is fabulous. Just a stone's throw from the Canberra Centre shops and Gareema Place restaurants beyond, it's a great base from which to explore. Having Glebe Park so close was also great, especially as there is a playground right up the end that's closest to the apartments...

Last minute booking which ended up being convenient and close to the city. Enjoyed the walk up Mt Ainslie, as well as close Lonsdale St restaurants. Priced well, my unit was clean and comfortable. Some parts of complex showing age, but suitable for my needs.

We came here for a week and found it was one of the best-priced apartments for 5 of us - 2 parents 3 teens. We had 2 bedrooms and our son had to go on a campbed put up in the lounge each night, but it was worth it for the value. It's a very quiet and safe-feeling apartment block,...

Apart from the position and the outside look it is the dirtiest place I have ever stayed. Mold in the bathroom was sickening & the glass around the shower was cracked in about four placesThe white electric jug was dark brown inside from years of built up filth, quite revolting. There was no service after we arrived Friday lunch time...

I stay here regularly and find it quiet and close to everything such as the shops, war memorial and casino. The apartment has great laundry and kitchen facilities and I am able to cook my own meals. I find the apartments very spacious and comfortable and the staff here are friendly and helpful. This is a great place to stay...

My family and I stayed here for a week recently, and although the location is excellent, the apartment is now quite dated and needs to be refurbished. Our apartment had a very strange smell, and seemed to be quite damp and somewhat unclean. The tiles in the bathroom were coming off and had tape on them to hold them down....

“Avoid apartment 12 (the one I stayed in) at the far end of the complex due to noisy neighbours in a privately owned apartment on the level straight above apartment 12. My other main issue with this apartment was the old televisions (hooked up to set top boxes) and connected to indoor antennas resulting in poor reception mostly on the main bedroom TV and occasionally on the lounge room TV.”
