We found the staff extremely helpful offering to print local maps (which we found we didn't need) and pointing out how to get around, where the best food was in the area, and they were right. Next time in Sydney we will put this on the top of our list. Break fast was very good and even the espresso machine...

This hotel is basic but good for a short stay. Its a stones throw from Darling Harbour, and if you like walking, it's not far from the Rocks and Sydney Opera House. Rooms small and basic but clean. Avoid rooms by the lifts, it's noisy. The staff were great, friendly, knowledgable and gave us free use of iPhone chargers. If...

Six night business trip to Sydney, conference in Cockle Bay and work in North Sydney. This hotel has proved to be in the ideal location for a business trip to Sydney - close to Darling Harbour conference venues, and evening restaurants, as well as Wynyard train station for the airport and North Sydney office locations. It's very like Euro IBIS...

We arrived early in the morning. We didn't expect to be able to check in at such an early hour but was pleasantly surprised when we were told that our room was ready. Very friendly staff who gave some suggestions for places to visit as well as directions on how to get there. Room has all the basic amenities, is...

Stayed at the Ibis recently as was attending a conference at the SCEC in Darling Harbour (an easy 15 minute walk from the hotel). Nothing is too much trouble for the very friendly staff. As I was sitting the foyer doing some work, I overheard the Receptionist proudly greet someone with a 'welcome back' - good to see they acknowledge...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
