However the other parts concerning the hotel is not that perfect. I´ve stayed here 2 times before and will continue to do so untill cheaper alternatives in the same category will emerge. The first time I stayed we got a quite good room (but noicy due to the nearby stairs), clean, big and nice. The next time it was small,...

Firstly, the location of this hotel is excellent. You are within a very comfortable walk to buses, trains, the harbour, the Rocks and the Opera House. It is by far the cheapest accommodation you will find in this area ... and for good reason. Our holiday to Sydney was fantastic however where we stayed could certainly have destroyed our positive...

Room was small but as we were out and about most of the time this was ok. Walking distance to everything which was really convenient. We wanted a night in one night but the TV wasn't working so that was a shame. The fire alarms were very sensitive even to the steam from the shower and we had to put...

Awesome location.. About all it has going for it. Right near train station... However we had to haul our luggage up four flights of stairs as they have no elevators... We were told not to have very hot showers and to make sure bathroom door was closed as the steam from the shower sets the alarm.off... Which will intern cause...

The City Lodge is by far the cheapest hotel in the Sydney CBD. It is pleasantly clean and the rooms are well organised. We have a King size bed and the en-suite is large and well maintained. They free wifi and there is a kitchen area if you want to make your own meals. They also have a mini bar...

Pictures are very deceiving. Stayed in a "premium" double. Yuk yuk yuk. Rooms are tiny, bathroom plumbing stunk. Bedspread was old and dingy - not inviting at all. TV reception fuzzy. Definately over priced for what it is. Staff nice enough but barely told us what room we where in let alone any other Info your usually told at other...

After reading the reviews I was worried but if like me you just need a clean bed to sleep in after partying in the city all night it is fine. The room was clean, the bath room was clean and the bed was comfortable and clean. Be warned though there is no parking and lots of stairs.

Stayed here on the 13th of September 2014. I moved to another hotel the next day. 1- Location: It advertised that its close to centre. However, this hotel is close to The Rocks area only. Its a bit far from Chinatown (Haymarket area), Darling Harbour (cost $10 by taxi) and Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour bridge ($10 by taxi)...

This hotel was awful! The rooms were tiny with barely any walking space, let alone space fro luggage, we had to carry our own heavy suitcases up three flights of stairs as there was no lifts. As well as that the hotel stank, the doors to the rooms didn't open properly, and the whole place just felt disgusting and gross....

One of the worst stays I had in Sydney. The hotel room was very small, the large window was frosted and the small one looked on to small deck and dirty ally. The room had no sound proofing all night we were kept awake by pigeons on window still and other guest coming and going. The room was directly off...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
