Location is very convenient - right smack in the spine of the city, George St. Perfect for the backpacker. Hostel is over all clean and safe. One thing though, unless you have earplugs with you, do not pick the bed next to the dorm window (facing the street) as it can get really noisy at night (mostly from the bar...

Was pretty pleased this place had an elevator so I didn't have to cart my heavy luggage up so many stairs. Receptionist was really friendly. Room was completely basic with a bed, bin and mirror. Was clean although carpet was stained and ratty.. But to be expected in a hostel of that location. I was pleasantly surprised to find a...

Very clean, nice and quiet. I stayed in an 8 bed dorm. Staff very helpful and friendly. The common room left a little to be desired people only went in to use the free wifi. Nothing else to do in it. There is a bar underneath which is the only minor downside as it can be a bit noisy at...

The price was great but when I was there the wifi was out which made international communication super hard. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean but the reception area smelled like frat house and the floor was sticky. The location was the best part about this hostel though. It is literally in the middle of everything!

So this place is located perfectly for anyone to see the city, just on the edges of China town and Korea town. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful and could not do enough to help. The bathrooms were cleaned regularly as was the kitchen, but this however can not distract from the love this place is in need...

You get what you pay for, it was a cheap double room for Central Sydney. The double bed was part of a bunk bed, it was uncomfortable - the thinnest mattress & spiky springs. Reception gave us another duvet to put down on top of the mattress which helped a little. There was only one toilet & 2 showers on...

The location is really great, close to the Hyde Park and the main street where there's only a ten minute walk to circular quay and the rocks. The staff varied in helpfulness but was in general quite good. The kitchen and the bedrooms are reasonably clean, while the bathrooms could be better. There's a bar beneath the hostel which can...

The hostel itself is good, the rooms are clean and the people are nice (most people are either working or studying while staying here) The kitchen is very clean and is quite small but never busy - i think most people ate out. The common room area is very comfortable and there is free wifi although its quite slow. I...

Very clean and comfortable hostel, stayed here with one other friend and were given a bunk to share in a 6 bed dorm. Spacious room with handy luggage storage underneath the bed which can be locked. Only downside is the kitchen, which was quite busy at times and not that much space to cool. Reception staff very helpful and we...

The location of the hostel was great. We caught the train straight from the airport to museum and then walked a couple of minutes to the hostel, it was all very easy to do. You could walk to circular quay in around 30 minutes straight down George street so no getting lost, and then get a ferry from there to...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
