Perfect location, clean and stylish room. Quick and easy walk to the train sration. Our room was nice just a little pokey and difficult to navugate bedroom and bathroom with two people. But king sized bed was great!

Staff went out of their way to give me a room at 10.00 am & store my luggage for a day after I had checked out. Easy walk into the city which I did each day I was there. No window but it was nice to have my own pebbled atrium with potted plants. To top it off, a shuttle to... More

Not again for this hotel. Sink is to small. Do not have place to put tooth paste or tooth brush. Sink stuck. water unable to flow out. Cannot have a proper brushing in the morning. Spoons and cups not clean properly. Some food residue stick to the spoon.

Great little hotel - very handy to the city! Often stay here when in Sydney. Only small issue was a broken TV remote so unable to get the TV working. Will definitely stay here again when next in Sydney.

Great shower, close to transport, bit noisy, old carpet, bed comfy, quiet aircon, had to lug bags up steos as lift inly gies to floor 4. Exy for what you got but being chinese new year hard to get hotel. Goid for one person overnight stay if you get a deal under $130.

The only good thing about this place is the location. It's located at the King's cross, which has access to so many restaurants, pharmacy and a coles supermarket around. Otherwise, this is a pretty basic "lodge" with absolutely no facilities that a hotel can offer. The rooms are incredibly small, suited only for backpackers or travelers with one or two... More

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to review The Bayswater Sydney. I saddens us to hear that your time with us was not entirely pleasant. It is an unfortunate fact that our subtropical climate, especially during the summertime, can cause an influx of bugs. Ourselves and all hotels in Sydney do our best to manage this as much as... Basic older-style room with modern bathroom fittings. No views and only limited daylight from lightwell courtyard. Bed was super-hard. No iron or board in the room, cold shower due to plumbing problem, squeaking floors, noisy to busy Bayswater Road, super-thin walls so I could hear TV clearly from the next room and in the hallway when I was trying to... Location and customer service was good. we stayed here for 3 nights. Room cleanness was pretty bad and there was almost no space for anyone to sit on the toilet seat. Definitely NOT worth $200+ a night!!

Can't fault it. Was exactly as advertised. Small cute boutique style room that had no obvious flaws. Tiny bathroom but nicely renovated and maintained. A bit out of the way from central city but we knew this when booking so if you want to be closer don't stay here, otherwise if your keen for a nice walk around Sydney it's... More

Staying in Kings Cross

Neighbourhood Profile
Kings Cross
Changing liquor laws are remodeling "The Cross," Sydney's red light district. These new rules have encouraged trendy cafes and boutiques to pop-up in the area, as well as organic markets on Saturdays. The area's nightclubs are still popular with youngsters, however, who will dance to the early morning hours on weekend nights. There are plenty of artifacts from Kings Cross' shady past when gangsters and liquor houses owned the place. Today, one can still find a variety of adult entertainment venues in this evolving area.
