This is a wonderful spot to plant yourself and explore Sydney. The breakfast buffet was spectacular! The pool was really nice, great views, although the hot tub was not very warm. The pull out couch was very uncomfortable, but most are. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn for 4 nights and I had a pretty good stay, The location was perfect! The Hotel is in walking distance to so much. There are eateries and shopping surrounding the hotel (the oldest pub in Sydney is a short walk away). Be sure to check out the Museum and weekend market, they are literally...

Close to many interesting venues, The Rocks, shopping, the cruise ship embarkation, the bridge walk, the Opera House, the Hop on Hop off bus - and the list goes on. The rooms were quite generous in size. The bathroom was tight and the tub was small, I mean very small. Not sure this is the situation in all rooms. This...

The lobby was beautiful and most comfortable. The front desk personnel were very friendly and always helpful. The location was perfect for seeing the Rocks area and for resturants and shopping. We enjoyed the breakfast each morning and it was an extensive buffet plus "cooked to order" items. Now the rooms leave much to be desired. They are extremely basic...

Loved the location, loved the room, not impressed with housekeeping. My daughter left her phone charger plugged in on the desk. We returned to get our bags within a few hours and the staff claimed it wasn't there. Only one conclusion, housekeeping. So sorry. Other than that the stay was great

The main reason we chose this hotel is the location for New Year's Eve. Upon arrival our room was not ready even though we requested an early check in. We requested high floors, early check in. We received a late check in, low floor. We were given the option to upgrade at $45pn, however our travelling companions did not have to pay an upgrade fee and they were put on the same floor, right next door. Staying in The Rocks

Neighbourhood Profile
The Rocks
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighbourhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.
