I've been fortunate to stay at this hotel quite a few times over the years. One of my favourite rooms here is the Relaxation Suite. Situated on the corners of the higher floors, this suite is separated into 3 zones - a lounge / study zone, that also includes a powder room for visitors, a bedroom zone, and a spa...

My wife and I used to live in Sydney and when we returned to attend our daughter citizenship ceremony we selected the Sydney Hilton. We have previously stayed at York Street Apts but found that the Sydney Hilton is a superior location. We enjoyed going directly across the street to the QVB for a chai latte or for some quick...

I stayed here over Christmas and the service was excellent! The check-in was speedy and we were given connecting rooms for our stay as requested in the booking. The concierge was helpful in giving my toddler a little gift pack to keep him occupied happily while checking-in, and the stroller was also prepared in advance with no problem at the...

I stayed at the Hilton 3 nights for a conference. I had a room on the 43rd floor so some nice views (around the building directly opposite) but I was near the lifts and the noise levels, either from the lifts or the wind were higher than I enjoyed and often quite intrusive. The room was average to slightly larger...

We had a wonderful stay here. It is a $10AU taxi ride to the Circular Quay and about a 3 block walk from the bus stop. The room was great, with a view of the city. The staff and service was wonderful. I highly recommend The Hilton.

Being a Hilton Diamond member, I picked the Sydney Hilton for a 4 day stay - it is within a comfortable 10 - 15 minute walk to the Sydney ICC by Darling Harbor where I had to be for a conference. I enjoyed my stay there - the staff were friendly and professional, and the food (at the member's lounge...

I stayed at the Hilton on George Street last week. The location was brilliant for shopping and business. I had to go to the Convention Centre for a Trade Show and I literally only had to walk a few hundred meters to Cockle Bay and then across to the Centre, which was a very easy stroll. As I was only...

Good location in the heart of the Sydney business district and shopping. Excellent in house restaurant. Busy place with lots going on. Multiple bars and places for food in the hotel, and just steps away from lots of other choices.

Stayed on the executive floor. Room was quite small. Staff did not go out of their way to be helpful. Food and service on the executive floor was average. Had requested early check-in, but appears that hotel does not allow it. Unlikely to choose this hotel again.

I stayed for five nights at this hotel after a cruise so I could explore Sydney. I chose it for its central location and it was ideal. It was an easy walk to Darling Harbour and Circular quays and the ferries etc., The hotel itself lacks any atmosphere or soul. The room was a reasonable size on the 24 th...

Dear josigirl, Thank you for providing us with an opportunity to hear of your recent below par experience at Hilton Sydney. It seems there were a number of areas that fell short of expectations and I am grateful you've let us know. Kind regards, James

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
