I spent a day and half at this hotel. Overall very nice, good size room, good staff. I flew in on the early AM flight from the West Coast and thankfully my travel agent booked me in the night before, if not I would have had to wait from 8:30am when I arrived until 3pm when the rooms become available....

Hotel competition is fierce in the Circular Quay area in Sydney, with the Four Seasons, the Shangri-La, and other high end brands and elite boutiques competing for your hotel dollar. This Marriott truly puts its best foot forward and in my opinion operates at a much higher standard than your typical, business traveller-focused, downtown Marriott property. The associates are extremely...

I stayed here twice in the last couple of weeks and had the same experience every time. Check in was fast, efficient and friendly. The rooms are really nice with enough room to sleep, work and hang out. Unfortunately both times the A/C did not work. It cools down a little but even on the lowest setting it never goes...

Stayed here for a night. We came in very early- about 8am and the reception told us that if we added $180 AUD we could move immediately to a room with a suite that came with breakfast. When we got to the room- we noticed that it was extremely cold and still not heated up after half an hour. A...

Dear JN19822013, Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. Your feedback is extremely valuable to us as it helps us to improve the service and facilities we provide. It is disheartening to learn that your stay has not been satisfactory and the series of shortfalls are certainly not a reflection of our customary service. Rest assured that...

This is a fairly standard city Marriott property, and I mean that in a good way. Rooms are on the small side, but well appointed and with everything one may expect. Room wasn't ready upon early check-in, so access to the an early-arrivals lounge was provided, with showers and snacks. Breakfast each morning was adequate and service was very attentive...

Stayed here for 4 nights in July. The location is great. 5 min walk to Circular Quay and the Rocks. The clerk at check in was super nice and upgraded us to a bridge view which was quite pleasant. The exec lounge was being remodeled but the interim lounge was adequate for our needs and every effort was made to...

I have stayed at this particular hotel in excess of 20 times over 3 years because it is extremely handy location wise to my business needs. But it's time to stop, and find one that may be further away but at least does not disrespect the guest with such terrible dine in food. On this night I ordered the roast...

Stayed twice here for total of four nights - one Reward Points and using Executive Lounge (which is currently being refurbished so one uses a temporary lounge and have breakfast in separate room off main breakfast lounge). The location is brilliant for tourists or business folk - 5 minutes walk to the ferries (that take you to Watsons or Manly...

We recently spent an extended weekend in Sydney staying at the Marriott. In response to mentioning this was to celebrate a special occasion, we were upgraded to a harbour view room, and we received a delightfully decadent chocolate dessert tray, delivered to our room. We found the staff to be pleasant, positive and responsive. On arrival we were checked in...

Perfect hotel for our last night in Sydney. Clean rooms, comfy beds. Nice furnishings. The lobby is apparently getting a revamp which it needs to keep up with the neighboring 4 Seasons and Sangri La. The executive lounge had been temporarily moved as well and I believe is getting a revamp. The lounge food and breakfast were very good though....

Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
