This property is located within a few minutes from the Sydney Harbor and the waterfront. There was a lot of construction on the surrounding roads, but it's still quite easily accessible. Service was great and room size was generous, although i think they could have done a bit better with my bathroom. Other than that a great place to stay...

This is the third Shangri-La hotel we have stayed in and we always go for a Horizon Club room. Our room was a good size, a nice touch is the window seat so you can sit and take in and enjoy the view of the harbour and Opera House (see pic). The bathroom was spacious and up to Shangri-La standards...

This is a hotel that I can recommend in Sydney. Great location, fantastic view of the harbour and fast WiFi. The staff is very friendly and professional. Check-in and check-out was really fast. It would be great to have breakfast in a nicer room. I recommend to eat early to avoid crowds. I'm sure I will return to this hotel.

Beautiful hotel, beautiful room, great observation deck with huge glass windows overlooking harbour and the Bridge, we were going to go to dinner but the free spread they put on filled us up! Great view of the harbour and bridge from our room as well. Spacious, luxurious. We have stayed there twice, both for a wedding anniversary.

I stayed here prior to boarding a cruise ship out of Sydney. I stayed in Room 2313 which is a Premier Grand Harbour View Room. The room stood just at the top level of the nearby Four Seasons Hotel and from the windows you could easily see people in the other nearby hotels. The views over Sydney harbour were amazing...

Let's start with the location - the Shangri-La is perched on one side of the famed Circular Quay and boasts expansive views of Sydney Harbour. It is breathtaking, with clear views of the harbour bridge and opera house. Rooms are well appointed - if you're going for a special treat be sure to book a room near the top and...

We stayed here for our third family holiday. I offer to take the family to other overseas locations but my family love this hotel and the city so much we come back each time. This time we were upgraded to a gorgeous suite which I think has the best view in Australia if not the world. Australias most iconic landmarks...

The Shangri-La has to be one of the best city hotels that we have stayed at. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, the staff simply could not do enough for you. We visited the hotel as part of our honeymoon and were really touched by the hotels complimentary champagne and chocolates too. The room was fantastic...

The hotel is magnificently situated, the rooms are huge and the staff are wonderful. Yes it's pricey but always full, catering especially to Asian customers. The dining room has seen much better days with less generous offerings but manager Rahul goes out of his way to please. He'll even turn off the maddening canned music that infests here and other...

Shangri-La is definitely Sydney's most luxurious hotel. The rooms are big and beautiful, it's perfect for a romantic getaway. Also, it's located in The Rocks so is close to the Sydney Opera House and to the CBD. Some of their rooms get the Opera House view. Go to level 36, the Blue bar serves nice cocktails and the view is...

Staying in The Rocks

Neighbourhood Profile
The Rocks
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighbourhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.
