We could not fault the impeccable service of the staff at this modern, comfortable and well situated hotel on the doorstep of Darling Harbour and all the delights of the CBD. Cruises around the harbour leave practically at the doorstep and I would highly recommend paying the extra fee (app $20pn) for an upgrade to a Darling Harbour view room....

My husband booked one night after finding a deal for $240 on their website including parking (which generally comes at far too high a premium at Darling Harbour) and buffet breakfast for 2 on site. When I arrived I was promptly given instructions to park and my bags were taken to be reserved for check in. The hotel isn't above...

After debating on this or the Marriott Circular Quay, we made the mistake of choosing this hotel. Had stayed here in the past and seemed ok but that was several years ago. Nice view - you pay for it, but nice view. No bathtubs unless you get a suite - REALLY??? It's winter. It's cold. Do you want heat in...

We recently stayed at Four Points by Sheraton Darling Harbour whilst visiting Sydney to see our family and friends. It was a very welcome return to the hotel and some hotel staff were very familiar to us - always exceptionally friendly and helpful - Tony in the driveway was a very welcome sight, as was Julie in the Restaurant and...

The hotel boasts a fantastic breakfast buffet, great bartenders and very helpful concierges. It is ~10 min walk from the closest train station and only a few minutes walk from Darling Harbor where you can find plenty of restaurant options and ferries to take you to other select parts of the city.

The Four Points by Sheraton is NOT on Darling Harbour, as the name would imply. Granted, it is only a few minutes walk away but the hotel is located on a back street separated from the harbour by a freeway. So that was disappointing - and so was the view from our room which looked onto an office building and...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
