Booked and paid for a full Sydney Harbour view room several months before arrival, room 1023 doesn't have that. Unfortunately hotel too full to move us until 9am the next morning which was impressive. Was given a free breakfast as an apology. The rest of the Stay was lovely and staff exceptionally helpful. If you want a view then ensure...

I was planning to stay with my family and booked a suite to celebrate my son's birthday and my mother's retirement. However, the guest experience manager handled my request very poorly so that I cancelled my reservation. Among many luxury hotels, Four Seasons had been my all time favorite and have stayed in other countries, so it was truly disappointing...

When you're looking for a five star hotel in Sydney with great views, nice location, and an outstanding bar, you might overlook the concierge service. This is the staff that helps you when you really need help. My wife left her camera at Lillianfels in the Blue Mountains. A two hour train ride each way. Added to the problem, we...

Good experience. Location was good, close to the city and circular quay. Hotel was old and bathroom was small but didn't have the old hotel scent in the air. We didn't try any of the restaurants or room service so can't comment on this.

To start, I have to say that we booked a corner panorama room and had an amazing view of the harbour bridge and opera house. The view was truly beautiful. To be fair most of the staff also work hard to please, but everything else in the hotel however was very poor for a 5 star and certainly for a...

We stayed overnight there and our room was nice, with a view to Circular. The staff was helpful and friendly and the breakfasts was good. At that time there was a construction outside but we didn't get anything from that.

All was perfect. The location, the service (early check-in), the breakfast, just some renovation work ongoing, inside and outside the hotel, so the access was difficult (and it took a long time until the taxi arrived) and you may want to watch out for promotions

A modern, comfortable hotel excellently situated for the tourist visitor, being just around the corner from Circular Quay and the Rocks. The staff are helpful and friendly - when I misplaced my mobile phone, the concierge left no stone unturned to help me find it - successfully. My room was well equipped, comfortable, clean and quiet and the outside pool,...

Ended up getting engaged on our last night here and was given a bottle of champagne from the reception staff to celebrate. After having issue with my airline, the concierge staff could not have been more helpful. Lovely rooftop pool and loved our king size bed. Close to circular quay and easy walk into the city.

Staying in The Rocks

Neighbourhood Profile
The Rocks
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighbourhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.
