This hotel is very well located. It's within walking distance to Darling Harbour, Circular Quay, the Opera House, Paddy's Markets, China Town and the CBD and, obviously, right across the road from Hyde Park. The hotel itself is old and dated but it's clean and the staff was very helpful. We had a room that had wheelchair access and it...

We stayed here after finding it difficult to find reasonably priced family rooms in Sydney. This was middle of the road. Room was fine, modern and with good fittings and fixtures although house keeping could have done a bit better. The bedside tables had not been wiped and microwave was also dirty. Parking is available underneath the hotel. Korea town...

Facing the spacious views of Hyde Park and close to Town Hall and Museum stations this hotel is perfectly located for work or pleasure in central Sydney. This was my 4th stay within the past 15 years and everything was reliably the same as the first stay. Comfortable and spacious rooms with very friendly staff and favourable room rates. The...

As the other reviewers have said, the location is fantastic for the price you pay. It's right across the Museum station and it's about a 10-15min walk to Chinatown. Opposite is a nice park so could go for some early morning walk. The 'intercontinental' breakfast consists of milk, orange juice, cereals, 2 pieces of bread, canned fruit and some spread...

This is a mid-range hotel in the Sydney CBD. The hotel is owned by the RSL. RSL members receive a discount. All rooms face Hyde Park, and have great views during the day and at night. The rooms are larger that most city hotel rooms. A small but adequate kitchenette was included in our room. Also included was a continental...

We'll get the obvious out of the way, location. So prime, it hurts. Everything is within walking distance which was most important for me. The place was clean, tidy and I had a really nice stay. Amazing!

It has a very convenient location, just across Hyde Park, which provides a nice walk between hotel and circular quay. Hotel is also located across train station, which is two stops away from circular quay. Receptionists are probably the only hotel staff you will meet and they're generally poor. The room is spacious but decorated without taste. You can consider...

Can't fault this place, especially considering it's one of the more reasonably priced hotels in sydney. It's clean, the rooms are comparable to any Novotel etc it's just without hte pool/restaurant (Although there is one downstairs). The rooms are more like mini-studio apartments. There is no room service (cry!) but each rom has a fridge and microwave so that was...

Great location right in the centre of Sydney with public transport (train) right across the road. It was a great rate on a family room which included a breakfast to make and enjoy in your room with a newspaper tucked under your door in the morning. The price also included parking which is amazing in Sydney. Free WiFi as well....

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
