We stayed for 5 nights over the Easter break. The hotel is located directly across from the Hyde Park War Memorial above Museum train station. There was free onsite parking which is a bonus in Sydney, it is a very cramped fit but we didn't have to get the car out every day as we used the train, ferry or...

This hotel is in a great location across the road from Hyde Park and just a one minute walk from Museum Station. Our room had a large comfortable bed and a single bed, as well as a really well-equiped little kitchen with supplies for a do-it-yourself breakfast each day. Everything was really clean and well maintained and the service from...

Clean, spacious rooms (tiny balconies!! :) ), fantastic location across from Hyde Park, adjacent to Museum subway station, and around the corner from the busy shopping district on George St. Our room was spotlessly clean, beds featured clean and soft linen, and all amenities were in perfect working order. The supplied continental breakfast was sufficient though not flash, and the...

Like all Sydney hotels you'll pay through the nose. This one seemed the best of an overpriced bunch with benefits being breakfast included, free wifi, newspaper each morning and a kitchenette. Aircon would not work on cold, just fan. Need to keep the sliding balcony door closed at night due to traffic noise so important for the aircon to work...

Hotel very overpriced. I was there for a 2 day conference & decided for convenience to stay at the same hotel for the weekend after. I wish I had checked into another hotel. The view was nice but the balcony was very dirty & felt too unsafe to sit out on & the street noise was too loud. The room...

After travelling to Hawaii where serving Defense members are really looked after with accommodation, attractions and discounts, I felt somewhat disappointed to come home where there is very little offered in genuine benefits. I was very happy with to find the Hyde Park Inn which offers a great deal for NSW RSL members. A great room with a view of...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
