We stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed the hotel. We had a problem with our first room as it had a cracked sink, but we were quickly moved to another nearby room. The hotel is with walking distance of the main attractions, the Harbour area, shops etc. We had breakfast included and this was a huge spread with everything you...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

From the minute we walked into the Swissotel we were greeted by staff who were genuinely welcoming. They provided a quick overview of the hotel facilities and assisted us up to level 8 where we checked in. The area was bright, open, tastefully decorated with Christmas trees and comfortable seating. Our corner suite with balcony was impecably clean and appeared...

We stayed at the Swissotel for one night following a trip to the zoo for our 3 year olds birthday. We were a bit nervous going in as we hadn't slept in the same room as our little boy for a while (he's a terrible sleeper!) but the room was perfect for us and we needn't have worried. The 2...

I hesitated when first booking this hotel. It just seemed too expensive but it was worth every penny(cent!). It is located in the heart of Sydney with the fabulous harbour with it's bridge and the Sydney Opera House easily accessible. An evening meal in Darling harbour was extra special. The botanical gardens and St. Mary's Cathedral are also nearby. I...

This hotel is very nice. The foyer is a bit of a trip to find. Rooms are OK. It is very quiet and comfortable. Location is fantastic right in the middle of shopping district. A bit of a walk from the water though.

We were "upgraded" to a suite and the room is beautiful. More importantly the location of the building is perfect because we are right in the middle of everything. Service was spectacular but my one complaint is our room was next to the elevators and you could hear them running all night. Don't expect too much of a view because...

I stayed for 3 nights at the Swissotel in January 2017. My room was spacious, with all the usual amenities including desk, TV, dryer, bluetooth speakers. The bathroom was ok except that the water pressure wasn't all that strong. It's a clean, centrally located hotel where the staff are friendly. On my visit the main restaurant was undergoing renovations so...

Swissotel is located within the CBD which I think is great for business people or those who want to shop. But the hotel in itself should not pride itself on being luxury at all. The staff at the checkin desk were barely friendly, and wifi had to be paid for. We eventually got free wifi - but it was so...

A great location if you require to be in the city. Near an excellent area for a walk if exercise is required. The rooms are excellent, staff outstanding and breakfast on offer was excellent. There was nothing to fault and enjoyed the stay - parking is an issue if you are driving to the city

Stayed here for 4 nights with my Husband and teenage daughter. Its not quite the 5 star hotel I prefer to stay in but for the price it was good value. It has had a revamp but still the bathroom and rooms are looking a bit dated although clean and freshly painted. Im not a huge fan of staying in...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
