We had a great shopping/dinner weekend and stayed here. Unbeatable location. The staff (especially Vita at reception) were efficient friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a great range including fresh waffles and eggs cooked however you wanted. yum! Our room was beautiful. I booked online with the hotel and got a great package that included breakfast and valet parking. For an...

We have enjoyed staying with this chain before but our recent stay in Sydney impressed upon us, the difference that exceptional staff can make. As my wife needed to be in Sydney for medical treatment, the doorman's attention and cheerfulness made a very positive impression. We used the valet parking and really appreciated the attention given to us ensure that...

Such a comfy bed, pillows of choice, Nespresso machine in room, quiet, spacious bathroom with full sized bath, polite and helpful staff, excellent location. All you can ask for in Sydney CBD. We were able to park our car there overnight and pick it up late afternoon on the day of checkout, which was great as we were attending a...

Really nice hotel, rooms are well appointed, modern quiet, bathrooms are great-and clean. The valet parking is a bit of bugger as Market street doesn't allow very much room, but the valet try to do their best in keeping things moving. Stayed for just the one night. It's a later check-in time than other Hotels being 3pm, but the bonus...

Beautiful rooms and very comfortable - some of the best I have stayed in. The food in the exec lounge is mostly terrible. Dried up canapes, lukewarm breakfast, limited choice and the term 'gourmet' does not apply to breakfast.

We booked three rooms at the Swissotel, we were in town to see a family member perform at the State Theatre. You couldn't get more convenient location, the theatre is directly a crossed the road for the hotel. We arrived at 3pm and greeted by the delightful Clifiord, although Market Street is busy and we were worried about getting a...

I booked a prepaid non refundable 1 night stay for our overnight stop on our way back to Perth from Hawaii. At the last minute, Jetstar canceled our flight and as we couldn't get another flight until the following day, it affected this booking. I called the hotel from Hawaii to explain my situation and ask where I stood. I...

Look no further than the Swissotel for your next stay in Sydney. You will be impressed. The hotel is close to everything Sydney has to offer, especially the State Theatre , the reason for our stay this time but also Sydney's great shopping. Highly recommend.

Excellent hotel which truly represents a five star experience. Staff was courteous and helpful, room was clean turndown service left jazz playing for my return. Located in the CBD made it easy to reach any area within minutes. Shopping restuarants cocktails were within a stone's throw. Highly recommend.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
