Hi. Stayed at the Mercure again for two nights 12/3 - 14/3/13 while on a work course. Room comfortable, very basic items in room. No freebies, not even cheap biscuits in room. Clean and tidy room. If you get a cheap price it is a good place to stay.

This is a great location however for what you pay it's ok. The room are adequate and bathrooms are a bit small. Breakfast is ok for a buffet. All in all...... Ho hum. I like staying in this area as itis close to Chinatown.

I stayed there for 3 days. The location is definitely an advantage as it is nearer to the train station and right on the corner of a busy road. The lobby is quite small and always crowded. The rooms are good. However the view from the window is not very great as the place is surrounded by concrete structures, The...

As we travel to Sydney from Newcastle by train, this hotel is extremely well placed, within walking distance from Central station. The staff were friendly and helpful from the moment the walked in and our room was clean, comfortable and really quiet ( especially considering the location ). The breakfast was excellent, we opted to include breakfast when we booked...

We stayed at this hotel, because it is close to Central Station. We returned from a coach tour at about 5 pm and travelled by taxi to the hotel From the time we arrived the staff could not have been more helpful. They even had bolt cutters to cut the lock off my suitcase when the combination wouldnt work. The...

This is my first really negative review, and unfortunately the Mercure in Sydney gets it. What a disappointing stay. I was here with the kids a few years ago and couldn't rate it highly enough. How far the establishment has fallen in such a short time. I would no longer rate this a 4 star hotel. Whilst the initial convenience...

Lovely blond receptionist got us into room early as my husband fainted on the plane and he was not feeling well. Great mattresses! The location worked well for us being near Surrey Hills. The only complaint about the rooms was the lack of opening windows otherwise they are clean and in excellent condition including the bed.
