We spent 4 nights at Sir Stamford and wished we could have stayed longer! Clean, quiet, well located hotel with very spacious rooms. The staff made feel so welcome. At $18 per person the continental breakfast was great value for money. We will be back!

The Sir Stamford is very well located just behind Circular Quay. Rooms are large, comfortable and well appointed. There is little or no street noise. Our view was restricted but the location is so close to the Harbour that it really didn't matter. The bar was very pleasant with live music on a Friday evening. There is a good drinks...

A little piece of peace positioned brilliantly near Circular Quay and all opportunities that offers for a great time, beautiful harbour, transport, where history old and new seemlessly collide. Hotel rooms are lovely and spacious, most with opening French doors to open air and special views from small balconies, spacious bathrooms, friendly professional staff, great bar and dining, all you want...

Absolutely loved every minute of my stay here. I had requested an early check & this was not granted, but received an upgrade too which was fabulous. The foyer is stunning with lots of character and a magnificent chandelier The room was beautiful- an enormous bathroom with his & her sinks & Loccitane products. Tea & coffee supplies were plentiful...

Rooms at the Stamford are a cut above other hotels at this price point. Very large, beautifully decorated, and with lovely marble bathrooms. There is a touch of Britishness about the hotel which is a welcome change from the more sterile decor of many other hotels in Sydney. The location is perfect: 2 minute walk to Circular Quay. My only...

Great hotel, very classy. We had a suite overlooking the harbor, with a little private balcony. Spacious room. Good service too. And a very nice (cosy) bar. Location is great: near the opera house and city centre (place to be, near the water).

Nice location and hotel really but after having booked a suite and $1 breakfast package, the small print of having to eat the breakfast in the dining room escaped me. The breakfast in-room was kindly not charged for - but I had to ask for that concession - and then being notified and charged $24 room service fee for the...

Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
