I normally stay at the Sir Stamford for work and I have always found their service 5 star and this was no exception for my stay. My complaint isn't a big deal but as I tended to order room service while there, there were just small things like there not being any butter provided when I order toast for breakfast...

Stayed for 6 nights earlier this year. Location is terrific with the hotel within easy walking distance to the Opera House and Circular Quay. Train, bus, and ferry services to most anywhere I wanted to go were all conveniently nearby. The room was spacious and clean but with a little wear around the edges. I particularly liked the Juliet balcony...

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights. This hotel is in a fantastic location within easy walking distance of circular quay, the botanical guardians, many restaurants and the rocks. Older hotel. Very big room. Breakfast expensive. Service was exemplary.

This hotel is in an amazing location, a short walk down to Circular Quay (so close to the Opera House) and a slightly longer walk into the CBD. A few steps away is the beautiful restaurant Aria too! Enjoyed our stay here in early November. You'd never know you were so close to the Quay because of the quiet location. Had a very large room with partial view of the Quay with a gorgeous marble bath. The hotel is furnished in antiques and has that old world feel. Staff is very helpful and concierge was as well. We...

Spent a weekend. Nothing really special at the hotel, but it is well positioned in relation to Circular Quay, the Harbour, the Rocks etc. The rooms are comfortable but not spectacular. On our next trip to Sydney we will stay somewhere different.

It's refreshing to stay in a hotel like this. Quality old-school luxury - big room, all the amenities - but without all the shine and bling you get with most modern luxury hotels. Very conveniently located and the staff were very helpful.
