Had friends staying at the Apartments in World Square Tower and needed to be close by. My room on the top floor was comfortable (although the view was not good ), well decorated and a big plus to me was the separate bathtub and separate shower. Had room service while there which was very good, service prompt, Both Reception area... More

Hotel is in a great location, handy for Chinatown, cbd, trains and buses, and plenty of nearby eating options. World Square itself has plenty of places to get a feed, including Japanese, Mexican, Chinese / dumplings, Korean. Rooms are spacious, and my bed mattress was on the soft side compared to what I'd prefer, but I had no trouble sleeping.... More

We arrived at 8p.m. very tired after our Journey from Manchester England. The receptionist was efficient and very helpful, We were quickly given our key. The room was spacious but a funny shape with a window with a curtain that was difficult to open it made the room dark. The bed and pillows were very comfortable but I think a... More

This was my first time staying here. The room was large and spacious with a seperate lounge area. The bed was comfortable and the pillows where amazing they helped with achieving a solid sleep with no interruptions. The hotel itself is somewhat modern with nice finishings. I was staying on Level 12 and couldn't hear any sounds from the other... More

I am from Sydney and it's always nice to visit your own town occasionally. The hotel does not live up to its price tag. The room was fine with a comfortable bed and everything thing you would expect from a Rydges' room. The bar is really awful - dark, no atmosphere and really inappropriate music was playing. I would expect... More

Sorry to hear of your less than pleasing stay Robert C. I have put forward your comments to our Food and Beverage Manager about the issues experienced. Certainly the room service experience is not acceptable and I trust you will allow us to address all this internally. Hoping that has not discouraged you with any future stays with us. More

Stayed for 4 nights and got off to a bad start with a medium rare steak that was beyond well done. Lots of silly little niggles that add up to a poor experience and for the last 2 days the dining room was in use by a special group so everyone else was crushed into the bar. Breakfast was a... More

Thank you for your feedback travelbugg32016. Sorry to hear of a less than desirable experience this time with us. I'm not sure of who you are referring to regarding the coffee shop as we do not own any cafes and simply run our restaurant. There are a number of coffee shops attached to World Square in the area so you... More

After a rocky introduction and a six hour wait for my checkin (my fault didn't read the fine print) I was pleasantly surprised by the spacious and well appointed room. Great bed, with excellent pillows. Efficient staff, for what I believe is one of the busiest hotels in Sydney. Quite like the location, close to Darling harbour which means its... More

After a cruise to Sydney, my wife and I decided to stay for a few days. But where? We had visited around 30 years ago, so our frame of reference was nil. So, my incredible wife did her homework and came up with Rydges World Square. The ratings were great and the price not too bad. OK, let's try it.... More

We stayed here for 5 nights after completing a cruise. The rooms are a decent size (lack drawer space) with good size bathroom. Staff were all very friendly helpful and polite. Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
