In a good central position for doing the touristy things.Room on 21 floor was ox,but did have dodgy ac. Lifts very slow, esp in morning rush for quite a good buffet breakfast..Found staff to be very helpfull, and ready to give advice. All in all a pleasant stay.

Travel Lodge is showing its age with the lift looking tacky [needs refurbishment] and laundry atmosphere on floor 7. Otherwise, staff friendly, restaurant busy, rooms clean and its good value for travelling families.

I have stayed here on several occasions but after this week I will no longer be staying here. I had a bad check-in experience related to small print on their booking confirmation and the hotel itself is looking extremely tired and is in need of a good clean and overall.

not a value for money, could have been more customer friendly meeting their needs, suggest complimentary breakfast to be provided as it was very expensive for the buffet offered. Location-wise, it was good.

Comfortable and clean rooms and a nice big bed, though my room on the 3rd floor overlooking the main road was very noisy from road/traffic/train noise. Handy central location - particularly to train station and Circular quay.

In general the stay went as planned only missing the hotel employee getting pick up bags in the car when checking in. Otherwise it was quite fruitful. I plan on one day if I return to Sydney to stay in this Hotel.

The hotel is VERY old, and their focus is firmly on catering for bus tours. The room I was in had a cover over the smoke detector and wasn't functioning. When I asked for it to be removed I got a very aggressive response from the duty manager, although they did fix it. The room smelled like the previous occupant...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
