Chef did not tell many jokes though. The room was small but well appointed. Good sized comfortable bed and the room was made up every... More

You know this aint a five star hotel, but it was a perfect budget option in a central location. We arrived there around midnight from the airport (taxi $55) and with the instructions we received by mail it was easy to enter and find our room. The room is small but clean and has everything you need. Breakfast is a... More

I stayed at the Hotel 59 in July, George and Cathy were such wonderful hosts. They were very helpful during my stay. The hotel is small, but super clean and excellent value for money. Location, was awesome, super close to the Kings Cross station, restos, shops and bars. I will definitely come back!

Arriving at 11 pm, as scheduled, we had to negotiate the dark 16 steps, then the motion-sensitive light came on, then unlocked the lockbox, got the keys, unlocked the front door. All this was well explained by George, but it can still be a nerve wracking experience in a strange city at night. Then we dragged our bags up the 16... More
