Stayed here Dec 2015. Excellent value centrally located, outstanding breakfasts. George, his sister and father could not have been any nicer or more accommodating. Would be the first place I'd try to book if I ever go back to Sydney..

Warm welcome from George who was quickly out to help us with our luggage. Great advice on what to see & how to get there- especially to eat at the Malabar Indian restaurant 5 minutes walk away. Hotel well located for walking into the city or surrounds after an ample breakfast. We had breakfast eating outside at the outside tables...

First of all, every comment about George are correct. The guy is great, very pleasant and informative. Answers all questions and helps with whatever you need. Located close to the transport system ( shuttle bus to airport ). This is a great place as a base to explore Sydney. 20minutes walk to Hyde Park and you are in the centre. George does great breakfasts and likes a chat in the mornings. Rooms have everything you need, are clean and comfortable and serviced daily. Fridge, TV, aircon...

We selected Hotel 59 because of the size and location, this is a small hotel owned and run by George, who was one of the most helpful people we met on our adventure. Travelling light with kids is not easy and it wasn't for us but George and the gang made us feel at home. Small property self managed but the attention and small gestures make it a good experience.
