We were going to a hens night at a club on Oxford at & this was the closest available accom. The location is awesome, right in the heart of all the clubs, pubs & restaurants. It's only a 10 min walk from the nearest station (Museum) The views were also great. The room had huge windows, you could sit there...

It didn't look like much from the outside but the room was really spacious and had a great feel. Amazing location right in middle of oxford street. This place had an amazing roof top terrace that had a retro feel with absolutely amazing views of the city. Couldn't fault this place. Paid 270$ for 6 people to stay. Great price...

I feel so strongly that I had to write here, and I am trying to restrain my words such that they are as objective as possible. I made a booking on Hotels.com for this Hotel, and chose it primarily because of its location; most other hotels in the city centre (for my working trip there) were taken or were highly...

The whole place smelt like mice, my bed had hairs in it from a previous guest, the fridge wouldn't stay cold, even on the coldest setting and the shower didn't have a stable stream of hot water. Wouldn't stay here again.

We didn't think this hotel was as horrible as everyone elseseems to think. In fatc, our imrpessions was that the place had its points. I must admit, we'd just got off the plane from Cambodia, so probably the hotel looked cleaner to us than it might have done otherwise. We got a bus in from the airport and asked the...

Horrid. Bathroom? Ewwwwww! Carpets? Try not to walk on them. Double glazing? What a joke this was! Two poorly fitted window frames operating individually; might as well keep the windows open. Ear plugs was the only way to cope with noise. You won't be able to lick the door from the inside. When questioned, the clerk said it was a...

The hotel is disgusting. Firstly, there is a rusty old door that looks like we are still in the 1800's. Next, you have to go cockroach hunting as there are many cockroaches in your room and even your bed. The furniture is atrocious and the bedding looks like it has never been washed. NEVER STAY!!! Also located in a poor...

Sydney Wattle Hotel was an experience to forget, the service was disgusting, hygiene preposterous and nothing good. The only thing that was okay was the location as it was located fairly close to the CBD. So basically nothing is good and I strongly recommend not to stay there ever and tell all you friends not to stay there either.

We stayed at this hotel last month. The hotel was close to the city and the rooms were clean, it worth the value. We were given the room was noisy at night as it was close to the main street. We requested for the room to be changed. The hotel staff was very good and they changed our room straight...

My partner and I had visited this place and were kept awake by an abundance of cockroaches coming into our room from underneath our door. The whole night I was calling every hotel around the precinct to get another room, but there was no luck. The next day, the hotel didn't want to refund me until I told them my...

Staying in Darlinghurst

Neighbourhood Profile
Home of the small bar revolution in Sydney, Darlinghurst has more bars per capita than any other suburb. Themes range from American whiskey bars and 1950’s theme bars to hidden bars requiring secret passwords. Oxford Street is the "Gay Capital" of Australia, where gay and lesbian-friendly venues feature “diva shows” and dancing until the morning. Vintage lovers flock to Crown Street, and small designer boutiques can be found along Victoria and Bourke Streets. Dining in Darlinghurst is a gastronomic adventure. Food from all over the world is on the menu, from American ribs to tapas, sushi to gelato and every ethnicity in between.
