Stayed here for 2 weeks in May, my second day a large group got kicked out due to them being idiots and making so much noise. It a hostel so a bit untidy but the people in my room where great so I had fun.

Worst hostel I have ever seen. There is a strong smell of mold in the hostel and the rooms and common area are really dirty. The floors are not cleaned very often for sure, because we found a lot of trash (including a pizza point half eaten...) and insects in the room. Our room, the ''party room'' as other resident...

Myself and a few friends stayed here for two weeks a few months back and it was the worst hostel we have stayed in. First off the manager Steve is the rudest man I have ever come across. He has no people skills what so ever, passive aggressive and when you ask him simple question he cant resist without a...

We spent one night in a four shared room. We can only recommend this hostel!!! We’ve paid 25 bugs each and got a very clean room with own fridge! Free Wifi is fast and available in the rooms. The bathrooms are little bit old but clean and absolutely ok for the money. Kitchen clean! Moreover the location is more than...

Myself and two other friends stayed here for 1 week. We booked the accommodation months ago because we knew everywhere would get very booked up over the Christmas/New Year period. We stayed in a 6 bed dorm, and it was absolutely boiling! There is just one fan, and a ceiling fan (which does absolutely nothing). It was very hard to...

Stayed for 5 nights in a four bed mixed dorm. The room itself was so so, it was very hot though the weather outside wasn't. The bunk beds were wobbly and the mattresses not too comfy. The good thing was the in room fridge. Toilet and shower were quite clean, despite when some of the guests didn't bother to clean...

I stayed in this hostel with 2 of my friends for around 2 months, and we had the best time. The hostel itself isn't the cleanest but that is the only thing that I would complain about. I liked the fact that the shower room was separate and you could have some space and privacy while you showered. We made...

It's a hostel in the city centre of Sydney. It's reasonably priced and has all the facilities of most hostels. Small kitchen and lack of bathrooms are probably the negative points in this hostel. It felt grey the whole time I was there...it just didn't seem that sociable of a hostel. With that said I can't complain at all! If...

The hostel is great if you are on a budget, can't complain at the prices here. It is in a great location, we were able to walk to all of the cities attractions easily. It is very basic so don't expect anything fancy, but it is clean enough and was bug free. Only down fall I would say is that...

The rooms are small but adequate but they're also very hot & only have fans, which don't really do that much. The cleaner hadn't vacuumed under the beds or in the corners near the fridge or lockers and the bedside table hadn't been wiped down. We had cockroaches and beetles in the room so wear your shoes at night. We...

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Tiger-flanked archways on Dixon Street mark the entrance to the “little Asia” of Sydney. A walk through Chinatown is a feast for the senses where aromas, tastes, sounds and visions of dancing tigers transport you to a different world. Chinatown visitors can expect a melting pot of Asian food at the neighbourhood's specialty delis and groceries. From yum cha to handmade noodles, BBQ ducks hanging in the window to Asian sweets and bakeries, there is something for all tastes. Paddy’s Markets is the largest flea market in Sydney where you can find souvenirs, clothing, gifts and fruit and vegetables at unbeatable prices. At night, Chinatown comes alive with entertainment including theatre, nightclubs and bars that are open until the early morning.
