A fellow backpacker recommended that I try you guys out. I had never been to Shdney, only Melbourne, so I asked her if she had any recommendations, and she said Blue Parrot Backpackers. I am glad I took her advise, because the three nights I stayed there, I felt safe, welcome and had a fun time. Which is all I...

Definitely the best place I ever been. Big enough to meet people, small enough to get to know everyone. The charm / atmosphere of the place make it so homy. A home away from home. The team are really welcoming and make the best to make you feel home. Do not make a mistake and choose the blue parrot.... Best...

Friendly staff and a clean living space, what else could you ask for? It is a relatively small hostel which is nice because it gives you the opportunity to bond with the other backpackers. I will definitely stay here again when I am back in Sydney.

If you're a solo traveller who wants to make life long friends, this is the place the be :-). The atmosphere is amazing, it's like a big student house where everyone nows each other and hangs out. Great memories, I miss this place!

I stayed here ten years ago and it was a great experience. I actually had forgotten a souvineer at the hostel and the owner was kind enough to mail it out to me in New Zealand. Now, the daughters of the owners now run this place and they keep on the same family tradition of great customer service. Effie and...

Thanks for rating us as ‘world class’ Roman! So nice to hear that you had a great experience here 10 years ago and again in 2016! Everyone in the hostel gets about 2 GB of free wifi internet PER DAY which is a lot of data to use up in a day and is usually more than enough to be...

By far the friendliest and most social hostel I've ever stayed in! One of the more expensive hostels, but it is totally worth the price. Will remember my stay at the Parrot for ever. Perfect is you are travelling solo, as you make friend immediately.

Perfect for solo travelers! If you are also annoyed by the big hostels where it's hard to meet people and not very personal you will love the Blue Parrot! Everyone is very friendly and welcoming, the hostel is more like a big house than a hostel, the rooms are fine and clean, so are the Bathrooms. The courtyard with its...

very small room , rooms where you sleep under pressure , I also ask for cash to keep the key and if the day of departure you go away soon , forget the money . The only positive note, Logistics location is good . If you want accommodation in barracks -style , this is for you .

Dear Luisicilia, Thanks for taking the time to review us! We are happy you liked our good location. When you arrived at the hostel and requested a private room we explained we only had shared dorm rooms available so you chose to stay in a dorm room which has bunk beds. We apologise if this did not meet your expectations...
