Coming to Sydney I booked into Maze for 1 week and 3 weeks later I've yet to leave! This hostel gives a homely feel where any backpacker would feel welcomed. I'm a solo traveller and it was super easy to make friends. :) On top of this, it's in a prime location right in the heart of Sydney - close...

No limousine service from or to the airport, no breakfast in bed, no daily massages, not the most modern place, but instead great atmosphere. Free food few times a week, good internet. Room was cozy and kept nice and clean, the sheets were great. Probably the best TV room I've seen with lots of room to lay down! Massive kitchen...

I really have mixed feelings about staying here. I was originally booked for three nights but only stayed one. I booked a single room, which was pretty clean but simple. I have to admit I did spray with DEET when I arrived - horror stories of bed bugs had me prepared. The bed was comfortable, and the room was reasonably...

After my girlfriend and I had both stayed here, the hostel decided to charge us for four nights rather than three. When my partner questioned it, the lady at the reception pointed to a poster on the wall saying no refunds. After then calling and discussing this on the phone, I was then told to come down the following night...

Maze backpackers was a great place to introduce my daughter to a backpackers place in a city we knew in a place we enjoyed. It was a backpackers with charm that was cheap. Friendly staff, great location, beds were OK, showers and bathrooms were acceptable and it is a backpackers so our expectations were met but not exceeded.

Very very noise, we barely slept there. This place smells really bad Not enough toiles or showers. The location was good, but at night you will find a lot drunk people in the street. Staff is nice, but not enough bad to come back.... Sorry, really bad place, I won't come back

Extremely small rooms, feel like a prison. No air conditioner, only a fan that sucks. The staff is a bit weird, not very willing to help. Good wifi but to an extra cost. The people were kinda boring. We would not stay here again.

Within walking distance to Hyde Park and Darling Harbour. The staff are welcoming and nice. The hallway and some rooms have a damp smell but you get used to it; just turn on the ceiling fan 😁. It's ok if you're just visiting and wouldn't stay for a long time. WiFi is not free.

The location is great and the staff is helpful and friendly. The room was unfortunately smelly and there was no air con so it was pretty sweaty and hot at times. But the shower was good. Would not go there again and can't recommend it but the location is perfect.
