Loved everything about this place: music, furniture, atmosphere, food and staff. We gathered for Sunday lunch with a large family group and were very well looked after. There was plenty of space and a good choice of food. The large corner bar is a highlight.

The Macquarie hotel is in a beautiful old pub which has a really lovely history and atmosphere. It located in Syd CBD, walking distance from central station and was in a perfect location for me as I was doing some sight seeing and didn't have a car. I highly recommend this for anyone travelling around wanting to explore the city.

The mac has been one of my favourite sydney live music venues for many years now, and I've had the pleasure for staying for the weekend on a few seperate occasions in the last 12 months. The bar area is awesome, thick with old world charm and rich in ambience and warmth. Super friendly bar staff serve up top notch...

After a stay in another hotel which was hell we moved to Macquarie Boutique for our last few nights in Sydney. What a great decision, contacted reception and they had a room ready for us within an hour. Worked out to be a great base as transport was very close (hop on hop off 200m and 5minutes to central station)...

No full time reception. Third floor office open sometimes. You are on your own. Had to change rooms, first one unacceptable. The first floor is a bar, second floor a resturant. The website picture is deceiving.

I stayed here for the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed my time here. As soon as I arrived I was greeted by the lovely receptionist who already had our room ready and checked us in straight away. The room we had was very spacious and the beds were amazing and so comfortable! Housekeepers were always kind and the receptionists were always...

The Macquarie Boutique Hotel (also known as the Schwartz Brewery and most recently renamed the Sydney Brewhouse); is a great pub just on the edge of the inner city (nearest Surry Hills and not far from Central Station). It jumps and jives with wonderful live music; there is a brewery downstairs; there's food; there's a couple of party venues and...

This hotel is ok value for a cheap night / layover close to City / Airport / Train. Don't expect luxury or great service, but rooms are adequate and reasonably clean. For convenience and price (and 1 night only) this works well. I stayed as I was attending a function close by and was only in town for a night....

I found this place very interesting - a mix of the old and new. Its rooms are charming and well appointed - gives you that sense of travel back in time feeling. Depending on which floor you are on, it may be quiet or loud as the hotel has bars, restaurants and is known for brewing its own beer. Live...
