Springfield Lodge has been the best find for us in Sydney. At check in we were warmly welcomed and Melissa on reception was very helpful with local knowledge before we set out to explore. We had a king room which was most importantly clean with a bar fridge, wardrobe, quiet air con, big screen tv and 2 chairs and a...

We stayed at off site apartment which is a minute walk away from the actual lodge. The location and price for that is good. Apartment does not have washing machine though and no wifi. Convenient if you are self catering as Harry fresh supermarket is also a minute walk away. The apartment is quite stuffy when we first check in....

If you can, request a room in the back. It is relatively quiet. We were on the fourth floor. Be aware if you are there, you need to carry your stuff up one flight of steps. The bathroom is TINY. If you are tall, you will have to sit sideways on the toilet! The room was very comfortable. Bed made...

The room is small but tidy and it's close to everything, you can walk from the hotel to the opera house, botanical garden and the best part is the train station, the staff were very friendly and very helpful. Overall it's good for its value

Good budget hotel, excellent location can easily walk to the Harbour through the botanic gardens. Very friendly and helpful staff and lots of good value restaurants and bars on your doorstep. Lift only goes to 3rd floor if you are on the 4th floor you have to drag your cases up 2 flights of stairs.

We have used this hotel twice now as our base in Sydney. This heritage hotel is clean and it's location can't be beat. It is situated just a block and a half from King's Cross station but because it is on a side street and not on Darlinghurst it is quieter than you would expect. Front desk staff quite helpful....

In summary: 1. Location (in the city, close to public transports) 2. Quaint Building amidst the concrete 3. Famous cozy cafe in the hotel/ lodge Sydney is the busiest & most populated city in Oz so you would expect concrete. Seeing this white quaint place, that too in the middle of Kings Cross (KC), is delightful. Its a 2 mins...

Minuses: Nice looking room, though not really clean carpet floor. Queensize bed was too small for the two of us, and the innerspring matress was old and saggy. We both slept bad. Mini size bathroom, couldn't even turn around in the shower, shower water went out to the bathroom at the bottom (had to put a towel there). Wifi not...

After being travelling SE Asia for 10 months it was nice to be somewhere and just have a holiday, if that makes sense. I had a 5 night booking and then due to flight times made a further 1 night booking months in advance, I had helpful email correspondence about combining the bookings and even arranged to get some mail...

The hotel has a beautiful front restaurant entrance. It was good that I had air conditioning, refrigerator, Large flat screen TV, hot water pot, basic white ware. Complimentary instant coffee and tea. Nice double bed and a decent bathroom. They just have to shine the wood floors, prevent the air conditioning from dripping water and later on add sound proofing....
