This is a great solution for solo travelers looking for affordable accommodation that is close to the CBD. The location of this little hostel/hotel is particularly good as it is tucked away from bustling Kings Cross and Potts Point so it is quiet but still extremely close to the restaurants, nightlife and amenities of the area. This is definitely a...

This well-appointed clean and tidy as well as roomy one bedroom apartment with living room, bathroom, bedroom plus sunroom and kitchen was excellent. The leafy outlook from sunroom down the Springfield Avenue Mall provided a good deal of interest and atmosphere during our six day stay. We loved the central location within walking distance to Elizabeth Bay, Harris Street Farm, superb...

Finding a hotel with rates for solo travelers in Sydney isn't easy (unless you want to stay in a hostel). Springfield has single rooms and as I booked a couple of months in advance it cost less than $100 a night. I always stay in the Cross, it's so central and I love the crazy atmosphere, so no matter how...

Springfield Lodge is a very nice hotel with very friendly staff! No luxury rooms but nice and clean. It's situated in King's Cross, so it's close to the city centre. In the lower floor, (kind of cellar), there was a kitchen and dining room with all the facility you need to cook your own breakfast or dinner. A little bit...

Stayed for five nights over new year...half the price of hotel chains so very good find. Good location easy walk into the city across the park with views of the opera house on the way. The room was comfortable and clean with small ensuite bathroom and tv. The staff were lovely; very friendly and helpful. Although the hotel is in...

We stayed for 6 nights over NYE which is a very expensive and busy time of year so we were pleasantly surprised to find something affordable and central to Sydney. We were also concerned about staying in the King's Cross area but this was no problem at all. However I have to comment on the noise levels as we had...

I have traveled A LOT and I am not really spoiled and consider myself as very flexible. I did not expect a five star experience, but this was really, really bad. I was happy when I left after 2 nights! We were accommodated in the basement right next to the public kitchen and dining room and next to the supply...

Had a great 5 days in Sydney. Very central location. Clean room serviced daily. Comfortable bed. Be prepared to be close to Kings Cross with its' interesting nightlife! Lovely staff and great cafe downstairs. I would highly recommend.

How good to be greeted by name when I finally got to the hotel after a delayed flight and the trauma of luggage not making to Sydney. Nothing fancy about the accommodation or the price - just great value in a good location. Very clean room and the towels were changed each day of my stay, tea and coffee facilities...

After staying at the Bayswater, part of the Sydney lodge group, thought we would try the smaller, cheaper version and was not disappointed. It was fantastic to be greeted by Martin again and his very warm welcome, so we knew we were in for a great stay. This is a slightly older hotel but has some great character like the...
