We started our Australian trip at Verona and loved it so much, we booked our last few days here as well. Not wanting to stay in another hotel, Verona offers everything with a more homely atmosphere. Enjoyed reading papers on the verandah upstairs, making what we liked for breakfast and generally enjoyed staying in Glebe with the village atmosphere and...

Were lucky enough to book the whole guesthouse over a weekend, a family reunion organized well in advance. The rooms are lovely, the common areas spacious and the kitchen well stocked. Located on Glebe Pt Rd just down from village shops and with a bus stop outside, light rail to the city a short walk away, it's position couldn't be...

Our first stay at the Verona last weekend certainly won't be our last. It was everything the other reviews promised: quiet, brilliantly located, friendly and well priced. With so many plusses I was tempted to keep this Sydney gem a secret for fear of not being able to secure one of the 8 rooms if word got out about how...

Just had 6 nights at the Verona for a family reunion clean with nice rooms with all amenities & the owner Julianne made sure we had an enjoyable stay--The 431 bus stop right outside the door made getting around a breeze & the tranquil walking tracks around Glebe made for a great stay & certainly as good as any 5...

My stay here was not planned, however on my next trip to Sydney this will be my first port of call. Wonderful location with glebe point road littered with bars and restaurants there are plenty of places to eat. The 431 bus stops right out side and will drop you in the city in about 20 minutes, or a 8...

With our son living in Glebe we let him choose our accommodation for 3 nights following our arrival from London. Well he couldn't have chosen better. Located at the quieter end of Glebe Point Road but still close to the cafés, bars and shops, the turn of the 19 century property has been renovated to a high standard. A comfortable...

My children and I stayed at this lovely hotel in between house moves. I must say that Verona was as good as any of the 4 star hotels in the city we stayed in prior to finding Verona. Verona is very, very clean, with a wonderful kitchen and dining area with all day breakfast that you make yourself included in...

My wife & day stayed at Verona for 2 nights in October 2013. We drove to Sydney from Victoria & took advantage of being able to park the car for free. If you head back about 2 blocks behind the street where Verona is there's free on street parking without time limits. Considering the cost of parking in the city...

This beautifully renovated terrace house in Sydney is in a great central location surrounded by excellent restaurants. I was travelling with my adult daughter in a twin room, but this place would be ideal for couples. Our room was spacoius, well appointed and very clean. The beds were very comfy. The kitchen is very well stocked for help yourself all...

My wife, daughter, and son-in-law spent two nights at Verona, and enjoyed everything about it--breakfast, location, off-street parking, and especially the clean rooms. I have recommended this B&B to friends. We found the commute to CBD to be easy and convenient, and were able to try out the ethnic restaurants down Glebe Point Road. "If" we can afford to return...

Staying in Glebe

Neighbourhood Profile
Glebe
An inner city suburb along the water, Glebe has a deep-rooted sense of cultural history and heritage. It originated as a semi-rural resort for the well-to-do, but has transformed into a student-centric melting pot. Visit Glebe Point Road for ethnic cuisine as standard as Mexican, Indian, Italian and Chinese, or as diverse as Spanish, Bavarian, Polish, Czech and Lebanese. You will find that Glebe is accepting of the eccentrics and aboriginals that roam the streets, integrating students and people of all economic statuses into the multi-cultural fabric that distinguishes this suburb. Glebe Foreshore is a great destination for a leisurely walk along the Bay, and the Saturday market is a great scene for bargain hunters.
