At Ayers Rock Campground, guests' experiences with service have been a mixed bag; while the staff's helpfulness and cleanliness are often praised, there have also been complaints about disorganization and lack of responsiveness. The spacious rooms generally get a thumbs up for their amenities, although the upkeep, particularly in the men's facilities, sometimes falls short. While some reviewers appreciate the well-maintained amenities, others are less impressed due to non-functional amenities and question the value, deeming the campground overpriced given the site conditions.

The 2 bedroom cabin is NOT suitable for 2 couples. The Aircon does not reach the bedrooms so it's very hot and difficult to sleep. Each couple should have got a cabin each. It was cheap, but obviously you get what you pay for.

I visited this back in 2019 and would really want to share my wonderful experience there. The campground is not as comfortable as the hotels but all that translate into wonderful experiences for me. Walking in the dark to the toilet with the Milky Way above; walking distance to see the Ayers Rock…. This is actually good for 6 people so occupying it alone may be too empty.

If it was not for Uluru and Kata Tjuta why would you stay at Eyers Rock Campground. Booked caravan site 3 months in advance requesting a site close to shared facilities as our Caravan has no toilet or shower. Our Site # 61 was in the middle between two amenities blocks. Booked a Slab Site, that was a joke. When reversing onto site the Slab was under the caravan which we paid $5 extra per night for this privilege. The Slab was not wide enough to fit both caravan wheels. Prior to reversing onto site I must have looked puzzled as another camper came over and said his site was the same and when looking around saw another 5 or 6 sites with caravans parked over their slabs with one wheel on the gravel. Next problem, parking the caravan on site next to a tree. Unable to raise TV antenna due to overhanging low branches, keeping in mind that our caravan is an on-road model, not very high. Reported next day at office, not confident office staff noted complaint. On our departure 3 days later, saw a workman cutting some branches off trees, hope he got around to Site 61. Wanted to have a BBQ at their facilities, went to 3 different BBQ facilities and not one was operational. Went back to caravan and cooked on butane stove. Talking to other campers, said the BBQ near the tent / tour group area worked OK. As I said earlier, why would you stay at Eyers Rock Campground if it was not for Uluru and Kata Tjuta. But iI beleive every Australian should visit this wonderful significant area at least once in their lifetime, but be more pro-active then us to ensure you receive the services you expect and paid for. It is overpriced, so you should expect the services they proclaim to provide would be maintained at an acceptable standard. On our 3 month trip stayed at 34 caravan parks, nearly all of them sent a request on "how did we do" or survey but nothing from Eyers Rock Campground.

It the only place to camp close to Ayers rock. Camping place is big with many spots staff was friendly. The places are mostly without any shade. What surprised me that 3 out of 4 BBQ were out of order..the 4 BBQ didn't had working lights so needed to BBQ in the dark..not the best experience. But the amenities were clean. And it's excellent place to visit the red rock

One word…. DISGUSTING!!! Spent 45 mins cleaning the filthy Aircon that does not distribute the air properly. Bed was so old that the springs were in my back all night… If arrived an hour earlier would have left and returned to Kings Canyon Resort which was worn but still amazing. Complete rip off and encouraged people not to go to the Rock, money better spent at other location!

One emenities block was closed forcing everyone to use only one other available. At considerable walking distance, and at what seemed to be peak time, as the park seemed to be very busy. Our Camp site smelt of urine, obiviously to far to walk, when reported to reception they were a little blase. They did offer to move us however this was a little to late. The couple next to us were in the same situation. Everywhere around Uluru is extremely overpriced; experiences, food and drinks, with the exception of the supermarket, it was what you would expect given the location. $34 for a simple cheese burger at lunchtime is ridiculous.

Booked a powered site for a set up less than 8m. This puts you in the area where there are a lot of grassed areas for tents. Disappointingly, the sites were extremely close together. The sites were defined by timber bollards, feeling like we were penned in. Being close resulted in being easily disturbed (one morning our neighbours were literally standing right next to our window. Also a problem if your neighbours choose to leave outdoor lights on all night (why do people do that)? Very over priced, like everything in Yulara. Feels like a lot of price gouging going on (I get that they are remote but this was ridiculous). Ladies toilets and showers were cleaned reasonably well but apparently the men's weren't cleaned properly for days with band aids and hair hanging around on the shower floor. So another star lost for this. But, they have you over a barrel as Uluru and Kata-Tjuta are spectacular.

Good spot to stay for a few days exploring the region. The camp kitchen was a great setup but there was only one and it was chockas! A park this size could do with another one. Handy to have the coffee van there of a morning. Pool area is great but it was a bit too cold.

The facilities were good, clean. but the campground is next to the entire resorts power generator. crazy! The noise pollution from the genererator during the winter nights was unbearable. Could not sleep in the tent, even with earplugs. People need to be forewarned about the noise, its unreasonable not to do this, so they can bring quality noise cancelling earphones.and white noise apps. This is needed so people can manage fatigue if driving 400 km + the next day. Better still, convert to solar power! We were able to relocate after night 1, but the noise travels across most sites. so if its busy you wont have that option. This is Noise pollution, its been going on for years and can be easily reported to the NT EPA website.

We stayed 4 nights on a powered site which was very close to the amenities. The amenities were very clean and well maintained very little insects and surprisingly not a lot of flies. The reception staff were great checkin was 5 mins and staff went out of their way to help. The shuttle bus was great and very frequent. It was very close to Uluru and Kata Tjuta. We did the field of lights which I am a bit ambivalent about probably an expense we could have gone without. The sound of silence dinner show I would have given a 5/5 but due to people not arriving at pick up on time we had to sit on the bus for 50 mins waiting for them, this 4 hour event was reduced to 3. Saying that the experience was great. would recommend I would also remind those that are highly critical that this is a remote outback community and should have expectations as such well done Uluru resort . PS if you can book a head we paid $140 for 4 nights on a powered site which at $35 was great value.
