We stayed 2 nights and it was perfect. From the moment, we were picked up at the airport to our drop off, we were very well taken care off. The rooms with the view of Ayers Rock from the bed were fantastic. We had asked for a room in the front row and got it. It was locate further from... More

I am not, and I do not take kindly to be treated as one. Especially when this hotel is THE most expensive of our trip. The room was lovely. The girl that met us at Ayers Rock airport was deceptively sensible, she drove us to Longitude, all good so far, I should have taken note of the PA system in... More

Dear Bobbydanger (Sir!) As the owner of the Lodge, I was incredibly disheartened to read your damning, pompous yet colourful review, which is so different to the perception of our other guests. It’s almost as if you stayed at a different property, or perhaps you got a touch of the intense summer sun – who knows, however, you certainly didn’t... More

We spent our 40th Wedding Anniversary at Longitude 131 and it was well worth the price! The view from our room was amazing with an uninterrupted view of Uluru. There is nothing better than waking up to the sunrise over Uluru. The staff were attentive and nothing was too much trouble and the tour guides were very informative and friendly.... More

My wife and I spent 2 days at this fantastic resort in March - words can't describe our experience. Simple but beautiful rooms with stunning views of the Rock. The food was so good it was scary. The service was out of this world and the tour guides the best we have ever seen. The area is so spectacular and... More

We spent three nights here for my birthday and wanted to relax and not have to think too hard about anything. From being collected at the airport to being delivered back there four days later, our biggest decisions involved wine choice for dinner, should we indulge in a night-cap, and do we eat under the stars again. Everything you could... More

My wife and I visited Uluru in February 2015. We had read the reviews of 131 and decided it was our best option. Our entire stay was enhanced by the entire team at 131. All staff have an enthusiasm that is unsurpassed in our experience. The warmth with which the staff at 131 interact with all guests is something that... More

Top drawer in all categories. From service to tours, to food and of course accommodation. Absolutely superb. This should be on everyone's bucket list. This compares to a Michelin 2 star restaurant. The wines are great with a wide choice. They just do not know what to do for you to make this a most memorable experience. I cannot say... More

We, a group of 6, stayed in the 131 for 3d2n. From the booking in home country, to our stay, excursion, food, all are a very good experience. Upon arrival, we are welcomed by the 131 staff who take care of all the logistic, we are welcomed by a glass champagne. With our flight schedule, we directly have our delicious... More

Last year I decided to hold off on writing reviews and have not done any since then. This place was so exceptional that I needed to share it. The accommodations (luxury tents), food, wine, tours and service were beyond compare. It was certainly a trip of a lifetime! Stay 2 1/2 - 3 days and enjoy the wonderful tours that... More

Hard to find words that will adequately describe to you the magic I felt my entire stay...and the magic I still feel now, more than 7 months later. This may truly be one of those experiences that stay with you a lifetime. (Galapagos is the other one for me.) Our three days there were far too short...and we didn't have... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Longitude 131° offers immersion in the Australian outback, a true sense of stillness and beauty in this desert landscape, rich in cultural heritage and history. Explore the World Heritage listed wilderness of Uluru-Kata Tjuta and discover some of the ancient creation stories of the Anangu, the land's traditional custodians. Spend time exploring the diverse flora and fauna of the desert and come face to face with this irresistible land with the lodge's personally guided adventures. In the spirit of the original pioneers, stay in canopied pavilions that seem to float over the rust-red dunes. Luxuriously contemporised, today's explorers are cosseted from the elements in surrounds that favour refined comfort over ostentation. Classic furnishings meld with indigenous textures to evoke a sanctuary of earthy elegance. A private glass wall yields unparalleled views of Uluru (Ayers Rock). Exceptional cuisine celebrates a fusion of modern and local flavours. Enjoy an outback sundowner at the convivial open bar in the Dune House and dine under a glittering canopy of stars at Table 131°. Quieten to the night sounds of the desert and be mesmerised by the movement and songs of an ancient culture by firelight. Timeless and enriching, Longitude 131° promises a transcendent connection with this spirited land. ... more   less
