Good stay, just overnight and fairly typical for a four star experience in most Australian towns and/or cities, i.e. quality amenities and good service. It is expensive but location and monopoly make this an expectation (we paid more that we do for a four or five star cbd hotel room in Sydney). Two issues worth considering (not to put you...

My wife and I spent a day and night at The Desert Gardens Hotel, Ayres Rock Resort and can highly recommend it. The Room was clean and spacious, although not much to look at on the outside, with the largest toilet flush buttons on earth! The staff were helpful and friendly and the White Gums restaurant was ideal for lunch....

The lodging choices at Ayers Rock are limited and I guess, for the money, this place is in the middle and does the job, but it needs work and I think they can do better! What we liked: the beds were comfortable, the room was spacious, and the breakfast buffet was good. Good water pressure too. We asked for and...

This hotel may seem expensive, but if you think about what you're getting, you realize it's actually very good value. There is only one Ayers Rock, and if you want to see it, you know it's not going to be cheap. If you ever visited any of the other world wonders or heritage sites, you would find the similar prices...

Comfortable room with ample family space. Large bathroom with excellent shower despite being in the middle of the desert! Would prefer large coffee mugs - the cups are minute. Excellent well catered buffet breakfast. Coffee and tea ready made - could be better served with a coffee maker. Nearby "village " with IGA and very reasonable prices - not like...

We spent our last two nights at the Desert Gardens after having spent many nights at Emu Walk Apartments, as we wanted to experience waking up and seeing the Rock from our room. Upon our arrival we were welcomed by the lovely staff at reception, who made everything seem so effortless. The whole atmosphere at this Resort was very calming...

Firstly I will acknowledge that our room with the view of the rock - did have a superb view of the rock - amazing. I also acknowledge that we were checked in by Jimmy who was great. Be prepared to walk as the rooms are spread out, which is suited to the surrounds. Car parking is not close to most...

Desert gardens is a nice and tidy hotel with a friendly staff. The room was very large with a spacious bathroom. When we arrived the room was a bit chilly but a call to the housekeeping provided us with a good heater for which we were very grateful. Beds were good and we slept well. The breakfast at the white...

Great place to stay while at Ayers Rock. We had a room with a view of Ayers Rock from our balcony. Rooms are excellent, beds very comfortable and cleaned daily. Lots of activities to do within the resort to keep you busy, such as bush tucker walks, painting etc. staff at the resort are awesome, welcoming, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about...

We were a family of 4 adults. Towels in the room were only for 3 people, crockery for 2. This was quickly corrected on the 1st ask. The rooms are quite a distance from where you can park your car so be very organised with your bags - make sure they are on wheels as you have 100-500 metres depending...
