Don't be fooled by the nice foyer and lagoon. Cold showers, mould and a basic room await you. Stayed here as I needed to catch a plane the next morning. The bed was fine but everything else was disappointing. Don't do it.

After the disaster accommodation in Lake Bennett, my family member book another hotel. Upon arrival the receptionist was so great smiling face and every questions we asked are very well answered. I was really surprised when the Hotel Manager Harlyne approaches us in the pool area and she was asking if our accommodation is fine and if we are settled....

The Hotel is right next to the Darwin International Airport and surrounds a beautiful pool. The front desk were friendly but understaffed. The hotel is in good condition and the restaurant and the layout is good. I had 2 stays in one week and it only took me 15 minutes to make it into the centre of Darwin. the bed...

From check in to the room the service and room quality were poor (although the service at the bar was very good). The complimentary sweets were full of ants and the aircon was leaking down the inside wall. By the stains on the wall this hadn't just started. Come on Accor lift your game

Stayed here last night after QANTAS flight was cancelled. Room was only a standard room it was clean and seemed recently refurbished. Room was fairly small probably on par with a IBIS Styles but did the job for 1 night. Staff were all good breakfast was as you expect of a four star Mercure hotel. Pool area had a resort...

Dear Paul V, thank you for the positive feedback and outlook after a disrupt flight, you would have stayed in one of our new additions the Territory Rooms which are very like an Ibis Styles. If looking on our website they are referenced as Darwin Airport Inn which is still under a year young. Definitely be great to see you...

The resort itself is lovely and has a nice ambience but two issues left me very disappointed and disgruntled: in the bar one poster ( the most obvious)advertised happy hour from 1630 and the less obvious stated 1700. A courtesy would have been to honour the 1st poster. Then I got charged $8.50 for a bottle of beer that I...

Dear Elaine G, thank you for your feedback and I totally agree the team should have honoured the poster as a matter of principle and addressed the incorrectly stated one afterwards. I will follow through with my Food and Beverage Manager regarding this as well as I do not understand why you would have seen a different price on our...

The room was comfortable with all the standard features you expect of a normal hotel. However, the breezeway outside my door was a sound tunnel. Every noise was amplified and the sound of opening doors, closing doors, bags being dragged up stairs and bags being bumped downstairs, people talking, people coughing, and people being people made my sleeping difficult. Installing...

Dear spinifx, thank you for your objective feedback regarding some of the noise concerns raised from your room location. I have taken this on board and will stay myself in the area and subsequently see what sound reduction options we can deploy. Excellent to hear the team were great across all of your interactions. I totally understand your frustration with...

The lasting impression I have is that this hotel is very convenient but attention to detail could be better such as putting back the rods in the wardrobes (fittings were there but no rods) details on how the air con works or doesn't when the verandah door is open (who knew?). As for the restaurant a good shake up of...

Dear Margot D, thank you for your feedback and I recently received this from another traveller regarding the sliding door in our new rooms which has a contact point for energy efficiencies on the door which will turn off your aircon as you say if you have the balcony door open. As such we are having some stickers made up...

Sometimes the rates for this hotel are through the roof, which means it is not worth your hard-earned dollars. But when you have a very early flight leaving Darwin airport it can mean the difference between sleeping on the floor with lights on and music blaring, or in a quiet room with a comfortable bed... The room I booked was...

I choose this hotel as it is close to the airport and there is complementary shuttle though I have waited for half an hour to be picked up from the airport. Reception is not that fancy and so is the room very basic yet rate is quite expensive. Just good for transit only for one night.

Jamie O, General Manager at Mercure Darwin Airport Resort, responded to this review

Dear LizChef, thank you for your feedback on your recent stay and our convenience is a significant drawcard for travellers coming through. Disappointing the shuttle took 30 minutes to arrive as generally the worst case scenario would be a 10 minute delay, so I will follow up what else occurred as we also operate a backup van for precisely this...
