I stayed here with a group of friend, thinking of the convenience of location - close to the airport, since we were catching a flight the next day. Fascinating place, friendly staff and Darwin itself is completely unique. Enjoyed my stay immensely.

We picked this place to stay as it was a short drive from the airport and we were off the next morning on a long drive south, and didn't want to stay in town. Only slight trouble is that, being fairly close to the airport, you do get aircraft noise when the flights start in the morning at about 6.30...

We stayed here for 3 nights. Cost was $870 for three nights for two of us including a continental breakfast. ($290 per nite, which was a reduction on the advertised price of $330 per nite). It was the most expensive of the 6 hotels we stayed at in Kakadu/Litchfield National Park/Darwin, on a par with Coorinda. We enjoy bird watching...

this is a upscale bed & breakfast in a suburb of Darwin close to the airport. there is a waterhole in the back which attracts birds of all sorts. the cottages come with a nice breakfast. a very pleasant peaceful place. much easier to stay at if you have a car-a 10 minute drive downtown. the owners are most welcoming...

The accomodation is nearby the airport and location in a quiet suburb of darwin. The owners are very friendly and willing to tell about their property. Especially Peter likes to tell about his sanctuary with lot's of unique birds and his succesful breeding program. You can walk freely in the seperated area's with different birds. The hut was very comfortable...

I've stayed at Feathers Sanctuary a few times now, so this is a review by a convert, so to speak. I first visited with friends about four years ago and was immediately struck by the tranquility. Feathers sits on a billabong in tropical Darwin, and access is great as it's actually not far from the airport, though you'll not hear...

Feathers Sancturary is a lovely place to stay in Darwin. It is a B&B run by nice people who love birds. We had our own beautiful room within their bird sanctuary - gorgeous setting and so lovely to see such exotic birds. Very unusal place and we highly recommend it. It is a couple of miles out of town which...

My sister and I stayed at Feathers for 2 nights in early March, which is just before the peak holiday period in the top end. We chose Feathers because we wanted something peaceful, outside the busy city area, and interesting. Feathers met all our criteria and more! The hosts were very helpful and thoughtful--perfect hosts! The bird life was fantastic--in...

We stayed at Feathers Sanctuary in February 2012. This is a very unique place and we enjoyed every minute. The accommodation is gorgeous, the pool was lovely and cool, the birds entertained us for hours and we loved all the noises in the morning. Peter was very generous with his time and introduced us to all the birds. The outdoor...
