This small hostel was close to my job and offered weekly rates. It's family run, not that much to do. But that means it's good to meet people. Most rooms are 4 shares, no aircon. There used to be the best curry night.

I stayed in a double room as a solo traveller and found it clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful and friendly at all times. The hostel is a bit shabby, but that's part of its charm. There is a bit of road noise, but in general it's not an overly noisy place. It is very easy to get to and...

Fairly quiet hostel close to Roma Street station and Suncorp Stadium. Quiet enough to get a great nights sleep but still an enjoyable social chilled atmosphere too. Friendly helpful staff, good cleaning standards and plenty of showers and bathrooms to use. They have a cool tv room with loads of DVDs and sofas, pool table and the deck area is...

It was a little bit far away. But the environment was good and close to few cafes. So when you wake up and wanna find breakfast, it is absolutely convenient. Most stuffs are quite nice, friendly and helpful. However the shower wasn't too nice because of the water pressure. In general, it is a good hostel and with decent price.

I stayed just for one night in July 2016. The hostel is a 15min walk from the Busstaion (premier/greyhound) and so from the centre aswell. There are shops just 5 min from the hostel, aswell as a cinema. The room was big enough, everything was clean. The kitchen is small, but I think aswell big enough (its a small hostel)....

I could've rated this hostel 1 star just for how awfully rude management is, but I decided to give it 2 because it's somewhat decent and the rest of the staff are all lovely people. Common areas are nice although too small, showers are an absolute joke, and don't even think about being able to cook properly as you can't...

Good hostel with decent prices. Fridge and kitchen area is generally a bit small but haven't really had any problems cooking here. There is a large area to chill with several charging points which can be a very nice atmosphere. Isn't a loud hostel at all so can get a decent nights sleep. Washing is 4$/per load, same with drying.

People shirtless should not be allowed in the kitchen! unsanitary! Rooms doesn't have security...

Management response:

Hi Lorenzo, It always saddens us on the rare occasion that a guest doesn't enjoy their stay. Bananas takes feedback very seriously but we find your description of your experience a little petty. Laundry - Our laundry is open 9am - 8PM. Some days when we have lots of check-outs we may ask guests to wait until 12PM so we...
