Needed to be close to the airport for a 5 am flight. This hotel is clean, quiet and close to the airport. Right on the main road as you drive through Cairnes, it is easy to access the esplanade by cab, driving or 20 min walk. Hotel has everything you need. Comfortable bed and well equipped.

Good location for airport, large hotel but not impersonal! staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are large with a good sized bathroom, have to pay for wifi. Lifts are a bit small if you have luggage!

Thank you for your review and I am so happy you enjoyed your stay. If you book direct with the hotel next time you get free WIFI throughout your stay, a free drink at the bar and an upgrade. I have never had one person ever say our lifts are small. They are licensed for 17 people each which on...

My husband and I stay here ALOT! Absolutely love it. Great location next to Dunwoodys. Rooms are always clean. The staff are always super friendly and know our names when we walk in. Judy is so awesome. I do think however there should be a little incentive for frequent stayers. Even just a free coffee. 😬 keep up the excellent...

We stayed at the Sheridan only one night, before catching an early flight out. The standout feature of our stay was definitely the friendly, helpful attention from each of the staff members we encountered. The room was spacious and the beds were good, and we did not experience any noise during the night. We chose the hotel because it was...

I am a bit reluctant to thank you for your review because Cairns is a Paradise, as described by most visitors. To even suggest that any part of Cairns is 'Seedy' is suggesting that you must live in some Utopian place on this planet. How could anywhere be less seedy than Cairns? Do you even realise how offensive that comment...

I have stayed at this hotel twice while travelling to cairns for work. Staff are always friendly and the beds are super comfy. Basically all I need! I will choose to stay here rather than one of the CBD hotels any day.

The reception manager and staff are a credit to this hotel. As we had limited time in town before our early morning flight, they found out which shops would be open for a spot of Christmas shopping. The rooms were clean and my children enjoyed the use of the pool.

The front desk clerk had to problem with my late check in, and were more friendly than what I'm accustomed to in the states. And it's about the closest hotel to the airport, while only a 30 minute stroll to the other side of the Esplanade Board walk where most of the reef tours start. I would have no problem...

We stayed for one night between a 4 day dive trip and flying out. The reception staff were super helpful at all times & were a real credit to the place. From the outside we were not sure what to expect, but were greeted so nicely and the room was lovely. It had a separate bedroom and living room. The bathroom was quite large with a corner Jacuzzi-style tub and separate shower. Plus there was an additional bathroom with a toilet & sink. Everything was very clean and there always seemed...

My wife and I stayed at the Cairns Sheridan late last month before catching a flight home the following day. It is apparent that the hotel was built to a reasonably high standard back in the 90's. The inlaid woodwork in the rooms and the overall finish indicate that few corners were cut when it was built. The problem is...

Thank you so much for your well presented review. You are correct in saying the hotel needs a touch up and we are constantly working on the rooms and facilities. We have recently changed much of the room furniture and looked at complete bathroom renovations. All of course come at a cost, quite a huge cost in fact. The conundrum...
