Stayed here for two nights since it seemed to be one of the only available hostels in town. I can overlook a lot of things but for the price this place sure was shabby to the max. Probably the worst hostel we had stayed at as far as cleanliness goes. The room was extremely small, the reception was outdoors and...

We only stopped here because we were passing through Rockhampton and it was pretty late on in the day. It was the cheapest accommodation option for myself and 2 friends. We paid the price for an 8 bed mixed dorm, but found ourselves in a 4 bed room to ourselves. The blinds were broken, the room was very small and...

The communal areas were well equipped and spacious. One of the best hostel kitchens I've ever used. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hostel was a 15 min walk to Rockhampton centre. It was a shame that the wifi wasn't available in your room.

Stayed here for three nights whilst travelling up the east coast with my boyfriend in a 8 bed dorm, there was nothing really terrible about this place but nothing that would make us return either ! The staff were so friendly and really helpful and we loved the staff dogs that were there they were friendly and we loved dogs...

We spent two nights at this hostel while travelling up the coast and were quite comfortable. There is nothing overly wrong with this hostel, there is just nothing outstanding either. We stayed in a mixed 8 bed dorm that only had two other people in on our first night, and they were really friendly. It filled up on our second...

All I can say is this place is the most filthy place I have stayed. I stayed in a double room which was dusty, had dirt on the mirror and windowsills and a broken blind. The communal areas were also filthy, I couldn't eat from any of the crockery in their kitchen. The bathroom was also awful with broken glass...

Not good first impressions. Looked like a run down caravan park with a broken sofa/furniture on the grass at the entrance. Showers block dirty. No facilities such as a cafe. Reception good though and picked up from Greyhound (but had to call first). Just stayed 1 night to avoid the overnight greyhound to Agnes water but woundn't stay here again....

We had a self-contained cottage in a garden setting with a patio containing a table for two. We ate all our meals there. This YHA was exceedingly clean, quiet, and well organized and managed. The staff was especially helpful. My wife and I both liked this hostel very much.

The best hostel I have stayed in so far. A massive kitchen, and the first one I've been to that's fully equipped, spotlessly clean, as is the whole site and the rooms. Free wifi, no more $4 per hour etc... You can bring your own booze, although it's a one beer kind of place, ie you would really want to...
