We stayed at the QT as part of our honeymoon. They had left us a lovely platter and bottle of champagne on arrival which was a great surprise we appreciated. View was stunning over the ocean, but would have been made better if there was some type of seat out on the balcony. The rooms were a little underwhelming with well loved furniture and outdated TV but was clean and tidy enough. The only reason This review is getting 5 stars is because of the customer service. The front desk were nice and friendly, and helped us out when we had an issue with our room keys and parking. The cleaning staff on our floor (13th) were fantastic and would greet us in the hallway. and then there were the restaurant staff. We went to the Bazaar restaurant for the buffet breakfast. food and selecting were great, staff were nice and attentive but then there was THIAGO. My brother, SIL and 4 year old niece came to breakfast on a Sunday. The restaurant was busy and full of people. Despite a massive buffet my niece demanded hot chips ( which aren't normally available @ 9am) fearing a small meltdown I asked the first server I came across who was the amazing Thiago. I asked him to work a miracle and he said leave it with him. By the time she finished her chocolate milk Thiago was there with the most delicious looking hot chips with a side of tomato sauce. We were all

I've never had a bad experience at the QT! The rooms are always up to standard, the food is delicious and the staff are so friendly and helpful. I can't fault because I've never had a bad experience. My friends and I had a great time on our days off and I can't wait to book again. 3 day lockdown at the QT perhaps!

Rooms are very tired and not that exciting, pool and restaurant offerings are good. Yamagen restaurant was very good however service was slow. The rooms really didnt offer anything even the tv was hard to use and poor quality.

Starting with the bathroom as usual I expected 4/5 star. Instead I was net with a bath shower, aged cracked tiles, and mould along the base of the bath. Yes QT ( that is sensational in Sydney and Canberra). - also cramped. Amidst buildings in front from floor 15 we had nice views of the beach. Furnishings were simple and fitting the retro theme. The king bed was ok however no choice in pillows which were hard. In our travels 5 star and $399/night is pillow choice, in fact some hotels offer labelled pillow choice. Sleep- well - even floor 15 we could clearly hear cars revving up and down the busy road. Walls were also paper thin as conversation and laughter could be clearly heard. Breakfast was lovely however the atmosphere was far from relaxing. It was need to speak loudly level. Reception staff were lovely. Had we paid 250 we would have expected nothing more. Very disappointed but lesson learnt.

Great customer service and friendly staff! Yamagen restaurant downstairs was amazing! Sadly the bed was uncomfortable, super soft and bouncy mattress that sunk in the middle so my partner and I could not lay next to each other. Hotel building is old but has been renovated. Main areas look great but the rooms need some love. Great pool and spa. Sting rays is a great place for a drink although food there wasn’t amazing. Great buffet breakfast but a few of the practices were not Covid safe and had us a little worried. Eg at the omelette station they hand out a plastic number when you order then it is handed around to everyone else without been cleaned between guests and the cook also places one of those dirty number cards on the plate with your omelette. Due to Covid, Staff now serve your food for you from the buffet but instead of serving everything onto clean plates they ask you to pass them your plate so they are then touching dozens of peoples plates then touching the serving utensils and the next plate ect so it completely defeats the purpose. But aside from this we didn’t have a great stay and every single staff member we came in contact with was really friendly! Good location too.
