Lovely old Queenslander looked after by Russell who looked after us so well. His training as a chef was obvious with the best breakfast we had on a 6 week tour! The fruit salad was amazing! Enjoyed the complimentary port on return from dinner. These old houses are fab but they aren't sound proofed which didn't bother us. We walked...

We were passing through Townsville and needing to stop for the night but because of the V8's we couldn't get accommodation at our usual motel. What a blessing that was as the night we spent at Classique was so lovely it will now be our new regular! The ambiance and decor are so lovely and we had no problems getting...

Classique was a great find. It doesn't look much from outside but once inside it is a real gem. Comfortable en suite rooms, beautifully renovated public areas and very pleasant decking area where you can enjoy a great breakfast. The fruit platter is fabulous. Our host could not have been more helpful. The only downside is the distance in to...

We only spent one night in the Classique B&B, arriving quite late from the airport. Russel was the perfect host, waiting up for us and making us late tea and cookies, which we enjoyed on the peaceful back verandah. The continental breakfast was delicious and very filling, with a colourful platter of tropical fruits to share and pastries with jam....

Although I stayed only 1 night, this Queenslander was very clean and very pleasant. Our host, Russell, greeted us upon our arrival and immediately brought us afternoon tea and macadamia nut pastry. Although the room was small, it was very comfortable and the continental breakfast was more than adequate in the morning. Russell provided us with the interesting history of...

A lovely building and comfortable accomodation. Our host Russell made us most welcome and was even kind enough to drive us into Townsville in the evening! The only downside was the traffic noise from the nearby main road - this may, however, been due to Anzac Day celebrations as this hasn't been mentioned in other reviews.

Thank you for your comments , unfortunately Anzac day in Townsville is busy nice and early in the morning. Hopefully you enjoyed your stay in this beautiful old house.

In case you're looking for the prototype of the perfect B&B, this is the one! The B&B is located in a house built at the end of the 19th century and it kept its original charm, isn't over renovated. You'll see the original ceiling etc. In addition you'll get a tour of the house and an explanation of its history....
