Hotel's Favourite
Great! Excellent location, very clean and comfortable. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Good breakfast and laundry machines available for $2. Best value around. I’d definitely stay here again. Very close to the free tram down to Royal Adelaide Hospital. I booked this hotel on a whim and it was such a find!

This hotel is centrally located and within walking distance to most attractions. I had a room with 2 twin beds. The bathroom door is kind of cool you can close the bathroom door or use the door as a shower door. The hotel does offer a service where you can decline housekeeping. I only went for breakfast 1 time. The rooms have pull down blinds that make the room very dark and great for sleeping. I would like to compliement Jack and Timothy for the great service they provided. This hotel also has self serve laundry facilities which is great!

Being a IHG member decided stayed here for Xmas. Its a fairly new hotel. Great service from the staff. The rooms are nice & bed is comfy. The bathroom area has frosted glass as a wall & the shower door doubles as bathroom door. There is mini fridge & kettle. The annoying thing was the air conditioner was on a sensor & when you exit the room it would switch off & you need to remember to switch back on when re-enter room. The breakfast is a quick start they have bacon, beans, fruit, bread etc. You need to park in care park next door, if you park over 12hrs swap your ticket at reception for a flat fee of $25. Casino, Rundle Mall etc. is all walking distance. Being ex SA was a little disappointed that all the bars in Hindley street are now sheesha bars. Overall good stay.

Stayed 3 nights and found rooms quite small. There was no microwave just a bar fridge that was loud at night. Beds where on the hard side. House keeping only did basic clean so we had to go and ask for toilet roll and coffee satchels. The rooms are very quite and the curtains block out light so well it is easy to sleep in. Found staff very helpful. Breakfast was good but ceases at 9.30 am and 10 am weekends. Try to book with parking included as it costs $25 per exit at the car park next door.

Hello Steven V, Thanks for staying with us and taking the time to share your thoughts. We're glad you approve of our property's location and our area of cleanliness and service. On the other hand, I'm sorry you weren't impressed with the room layout, and you find the beds hard the limited housekeeping service was also a letdown. Our team has been looped of your review and I'm confident this will be improved to deliver complete guest satisfaction. We hope you consider us again as a pit-stop for your travel in case you're back in the area! Best, Ronald R. Case Manager IHGService

Stayed at this Hotel early 2022 as a solo traveller and chose it largely based on location.
If you don't want to read the whole review, my short version is: It was above and beyond what was expected. Hope to stay here again!.
This Hotel represents exceptional value at around $140 per night [early 2022]. The location is very central and close to most things in the area, or an easy walk or ride on scooters or public transport.. On check-in/out, and during the stay, staff were helpful and friendly.
Entering the room, cleanliness could be described as perfect, and the bathroom was Spacious and functional and was well maintained and clean and soap and shampoos were provided and refreshed daily. There was also lovely fluffy towels. The Hotel offered lightning fast WiFi and from what I could tell it was uncapped. I would happily recommend this place.

Very modern clean hotel, the room was great, loved the blackout shutters - definitely worked, large size TV, which you could connect to Chromecast and stream you own paid services. The shower pressure was amazing. The room was very clean and spacious, the bed was so comfortable, there was a mini fridge, kettle and tea & coffee. The view from the room wasn't great, basically looking down on an alleyway. Breakfast was included and good. There was no room service menu - not sure if this was due to COVID restrictions or they generally don't do room service. The hotel was very very centrally located for walking, catching public transport, shopping and restaurants. I would stay here again.

Within easy walking distance of the Festival Theatre, Adelaide Oval, the Casino and lots of restaurants, the Holiday Inn Express is exceptionally well situated. At an affordable price for CBD accommodation (including a good full breakfast), this hotel is a great option for everyone. Add comfortable beds, friendly professional staff and clean, well maintained rooms and you have a real winner

This hotel is clean and modern, but also very comfortable. It has a great bed, a choice of firm and softer pillows in room. Tea & Coffee making facilities and a mini fridge. Everything about it is designed for efficiency and a pleasant stay. Breakfast is included, Wifi is fast and free. It has a central location close to Rundle Mall shops, tram lines and Adelaide central train station. Staff are friendly and helpful. Easy check-in. There are basic toiletries in the room, with others on-request. Its a very pleasant overall experience. Its great for its category, but its not boutique, and whilst its perfectly functional for business, there are other more expensive options in Adelaide for the international corporate traveller. But everything generally went smoothly with my stay and so I would certainly recommend to friends for business or leisure travel.

Looking for a last minute hotel for one night. Chose the Holiday Inn Express because of location and price and absolutely recommend it for short stays. We had a King Suite and the room is not large but efficiently set out, with a couple seating options as well as the bed. The bathroom is not sound/light proof from the room but at least has some bench space alongside the sink. For 1-2 people it is a great space for short stays. We had the complementary breakfast in-house which was good (nothing spectacular but delicious enough).
Vishnu was working when we check in and out and he was very friendly and efficient and clearly explained use of car park and breakfast vouchers.
Being only a few years old the whole place feels fresh and clean. We were on the 5th floor and faintly heard some of the nightlife music noise but very minimal. The block out blinds almost work too well, making it easy to sleep in! The location is a key winner being in easy walking distance to almost everything in Adelaide CBD (or a short tram ride away).

Having never been to Adelaide, I wanted to pick somewhere central and this hotel is definitely a good choice for that reason. You can walk to the casino, Rundle Mall, bars, restaurants and Central Adelaide Markets.
The breakfast included is pretty ordinary but for the cost you can’t expect a gourmet breakfast. It is pretty chaotic if you go down at peak time and you will struggle to get something to eat but you can count on getting a piece of toast. Avoid the horrible omelette.
Rooms are clean with a choice of soft or firm pillow and ok tv channels.
Good value for money but if you like a bit more luxury when you travel this is definitely not the choice for you.

Hi Magdalena50,
Thank you so much for your message. Due to legislation restrictions on buffet, our Express Start Breakfast offering is currently limited. We are continuously updating our offerings in accordance with local requirements and to safeguard the health & well-being of our guests & employees. We appreciate your kind understanding during this time and all of us look forward to welcoming you back to Holiday Inn Express Adelaide City Centre in the near future! :)
Warmest Regards,
Christy
it was every time you exited it. yes costly, it was easier to be out all day and arrive after 6 when street parking was free for the next 12 hours.
sorry I've only just seen this question. They will look after your luggage. We had the same issue but decided to extend our check out time until 3pm (extra cost).
We stayed at the hotel in February. We walked along Hindley Street to access Blyth Street after dinner. No problems at all. Our room looked down Blyth Street onto Hindley St. We never saw any problems.
"Useful location in that the AVIS car rental is very close and so are many eating places in Adelaide, but the bathroom lacks privacy. "Read full review
