Stayed here for a couple of days recently before boarding the Ghan.Great façade, and welcoming interior.Frontline staff most helpful.Rooms spacious and found a couple of nice resturants around the corner in the alley, also a few pubs down the street where I was able to catch up on a friend.Didnt try the inhouse restaurant though. Clean and tidy throughout.

The entrance to our hotel was in a sidestreet so we were expecting a budget place. Pleasantly surprised as the staff were very friendly and reminded me of flight attendants as every hair was in place and their uniforms were very prim and proper. They were pleasant but not that helpful to start with. We looked a bit bedraggled I...

Not to be confused with the Grand Chancellor on Hindley, this sister hotel is around the corner on King William Street. The room I had on the 6th floor was viewless and apart from that very clean and well presented with a good LED TV. The bar was fine and although a cup of coffee / tea was available in...

Ive stayed here twice for work in the last 3 weeks, for 2 and 3 nights respectively. Once in a 1-bedroom suite, and the other in a studio. The hotel itself, is pretty good. It is a little dated inside, but they certainly make every attempt to keep the place clean and tidy. On both occasions I stayed, the room...

I stayed in an executive king room with a spa and couldn't fault anything about the room. The bed was super comfy and there were plenty of towels which were soft and snuggly. The room was immaculately clean. I am a fairly light sleeper but found the grand chancellor really quiet. Great location, close to restaurants and rundle mall so...

PROS: Great location - about 2 minutes walk to the main shopping precinct. Also very close to trains, buses and trams. Plenty of convenience stores within easy walking distance. Room was small and a little spartan but had all that was needed i.e. comfy bed, wardrobe, ironing board, air conditioning, fridge, TV, internet access, lots of room on bathroom vanity...

My partner and i stayed for 1 night in a standard queen room. Staff were friendly. Room was comfortable and had everything needed. If you pay by cash you will need to pay a $50 security deposit which will be refunded on checkout once room has been checked by housekeeping. Happy to stay here again.

From the front desk to the kitchen to the restaurant to the cleaners, all staff treated us like royalty. Went at Easter time and it was not very busy so we had all staff at hand when needed. Thomas on reception had a smile and a wave whenever we came in or out of the lobby. The room had a...

We stayed here one night before an early flight out. Good sized bathroom, comfortable bed and very quiet. In a lovely old building in a spot that you can get anywhere from. Good value. Close to lots of restaurants and good for transport. They even got us a cab at five AM.
