I used this hostel for 5 nights, broken in the middle for an overnight stay at kangaroo island. Although I was in a 10 bed room is was adequately spacious and plenty of electrical sockets. The showers were fantastic, a little too hot at times, but cleaned regularly. All the hostel was at a great standard when I stayed. The...

Worst place. I went to the reception to ask the tour about Kangaroo Island and the man in reception was giving me lectures for an hour. You have to notice either the person is intrested in your chat or not. We are in holiday mate not to listen your boring lectures.Over smart people with attitudes. Don't waste your time and...

Visited during winter and the backpackers is exactly deserved as what is reviewed here: clean room, toilet and kitchen, friendly and helpful staffs, quiet stay, convenience location. Public transport including busses, tram and train, popular destination such as central market, China town, Rundle mall, river torrent, north Terrance as well as Adelaide oval can be reach within walking distance. Except...

Have stayed at Shakespeare's a few weeks. Great chilled hostel but not a party hostel, however always a good crowd there. Very clean kitchen with plenty of space. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Great location right in the CBD. No problems with the hostel

I moved into Shakespeare's in towards the middle of March 2015, and I will move out in two more weeks (June 2015). I was originally staying at a cheaper hostel far outside the CBD, but when I stopped by Shakespeare's one day while looking for a job and the employee working that day gave me TONS of great advice about...

Given the fact that this was my and my hubby's first time staying at a backpacking hostel, (we weren't looking for a typical hotel experience anyways) must say it was a great deal indeed! Shakey's provides good budget accomodation at a central location in the city with most attractions/ bus station/ central market/ restaurants at walking distance. The staff are...

It's a really nice hostel and the staff is really helpful!! Clean, enough space in the room, and really easy to feel home. The manager helped me to book some tours and gave me a lot of useful information.

I stayed one night and I'm glad it wasn't longer. The room was filthy and smelly. It was extremely hot and the ventilation wasn't working either. In general a very bad experience. As soon as I woke up, I left and went to other hostel.

We spent a few nights here and found the location perfect for exploring the city. The room was clean and useable and the bathrooms seemed to be cleaned every day. The common areas are a little shabby but not at all run down. This is a great place for budget conscious travellers to stay. The staff were very nice too....
