This accommodation offers nice but simple accommodation, some rooms have been renovated, ours was not. This meant that the bathroom was pretty old and dated with a shower head located VERY low on the wall. There are no breakfast facilities so you will need to go into town each day for breakfast. The towels were very high quality, the bed...

We stayed one night on our way through from Adelaide to the Northern Territory but we wished we'd had time to stay more nights! Aside from the initial novelty value of staying in a cave, the whole experience was great, from the warm welcome, handy hints about where to go in town, the clean rooms and the amenities. WiFi is...

When we drove up to this motel, I have to admit that I had my concerns. It doesn't look like much from the outside. But inside I found the best room I had stayed in since starting our outback experience. The room was on the small side, but clean and the coolness factor of being underground cannot be overrated. The...

Really nice place to stay at if in Coober Pedy. The staff was friendly and showed us the places to visit and the best restaurants in town. Beautiful room in an underground setting. Would certainly stay there again.

We stayed in a standard queen room which was hewn from the living rock. The rock walls do make things dusty though. It was not huge, but fantastic. The rock was beautiful and the temperature was 24º compared to about a million outside. The internet worked great. The bathroom was alright, nothing special, except that it's underground. You can climb...

This motel is an experience in itself. As implied by the title all rooms are within a dugout from earlier opal sub-surface mining. Many people live in these dugouts in Coober Pedy. Our room was reasonable size and comfortable with usual motel facilities. A great advantage is that the temperature within remains fairly constant therefore heating and air conditioning are...

Once you decided to visit Coober Pedy, the best place to stay is The Lookout Cave Underground Motel. We have stayed there for 3 nights and the place is really the best to stay in Coober Pedy! Despite the underground disposition, it is very cleaned and offers all necessary convenient features as all motels in Australia.

Being there with family we enjoyed climbing up onto the roof for a unique lookout experience. The reception staff very polite and helpful gave as brochures of things that we could do, with recommendations. I saw quiet a few people enjoying the BBQ area.

When you stay in Coober Pedy the underground experience is a must. This place is one of a few choices and while I can't compare this place with others I only can highly recommend this unique accommodation and friendly service.
